Gtx 260

260/216 is a great card and it is better than my previous card the 4870, build quality is fantastic and the 2d clocks are so low that power consumption is superb in that environment, my card also clocks to 280 performance which is sweet.

glad ** liking it raven

how did u clock it to 280 speeds? did u install an aftermarket cooler or better yet go on water with it?

If you can clock it to around 680 GPU/1150 MEM, then your basicily at 280 performance, most on line reviews show the highly OC'd models the same or even better than the 280 when its at stock. I'm just using stock cooling as its superb at keeping the card cool, I have pushed the fan up to 60% but the noise is still very minimal and temps never go above 75c.

4ghz and it's under water - link in my sig shows pictures.

Loop consists of PA120.2, microres, DDC 10w pump, polarflo nb block and XSPC edge cpu block. Northbridge and cpu are in the loop - temps are around 25c idle and max @ 37c full load at the moment.

Not 100% sure but think the chip is @ 1.325v.

.... why get a 280 when u can get this

Because then you clock the 280 and leave the 260 behind.

Since they updated the 260 and the drivers have matured, it is certainly becoming a much better card. I wonder how Nvidia is financially with return on this card though (Not that I really care/matters).

Once again, competition in action :D

I'm getting one of these for my new build. Was going for a 4870, but think the gtx 260 216 is looking very tempting. I see BFG are offering farcry2 with their gtx260. The promotion has been running a month now, wonder if they've any copies left.

Sweet. I might buy an EVGA GTX260-216 soon then. I don't think I'll bother waiting for the new Nvidia cards, they might not be out until next year and with the EVGA setup program I can just upgrade when they do anyway. :)

I have the palit GTX260 216 core version and it clocked to 720/1200 which i feel is amazing. One of the best cards i ever got , i thought the 8800gts was impressive but this ! wow
