Well, its arrived!

It is bigger than I expected, wieghs about a KG and is bigger than the 8800GTX mostly because of the full card shroud.

I'll put it in soon and post some benchmarks and mess about with the new features. I know theres plenty of reviews out but I guess its good to see some results from a retail card.

Remember I am on Core 2 Duo at 3.2 so it wont be amazing. My current 8800GTX score is 10756 (stock GTX)

Posting from laptop, 3dmark running now.

I normally game at 1920x1200. I prepared a few benchmarks on my 8800GTX before hand so we will have some direct comparisons soon!

Including head to head very high DX10 crysis

I'll run some 3Dmark 2006 1920x1200 with 4x AA.

On Direct X 9 max settings 1920x1200 no AA just destroyed Crysis, 40fps on the GPU test!

But still 10756 is still a bit too low for a 8800GTX with 3.2Ghz C2D?

It is a bit low yeah.

The C2D is at 3.15Ghz to be precise. I'm running Vista 64 bit with aero on though.

Kinda unrelated, the adaptor is 2 PCIE 6 > 1 PCIE 8, so i've got two molex connectors and two 6 pin PCIE power cables connected to it :O

1x 8 Pin PCIE
1x 6 Pin PCIE

My PSU has 2x 6 pin PCIE and 0x 8 pin PCIE (Corsair HX520)

2x 6Pin turns into 1x 8 Pin
2x Molex turns into 1x 6 Pin

GTS is actually a bit faster in 3DMark because of the resolution (than the 8800GTX)
