Hi All,

I need to buy a new PSU to replace my current underpowered unit. I have an Abit AW9D, dual core cpu, 4gb ram, BFG GTX 285.

I'm struggling to find power requirements for the BFG - 12v amp usage to be exact so i'm a bit unsure about which PSU to buy (it has to be quiet and supply enough power for the card).

I'm considering the BeQuiet Dark Power Pro 750 (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-022-BQ&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1083)

Would this be suitable?

It would be ample - the Corsair 650W on a this week special @ £72.99 would also do the job admirably if you wanted to save some money - link.

The PSU linked above will be more thsn enough.

Alternate the Corsair on TWO is a good buy - Clicky or the 520w version which is modular would be fine.

Excellent, thanks.

I did look at the corsair on offer but am wary about the noise - the BeQuiet unit is supposed to be super quiet!

Noise/quietness is relative and subjective - but from my own personal experience i find the 650w Corsair to be a quiet PSU.

Do you run a 'silent' rig?
