Wondering what fps everyone else gets? Got on 1920x1080 with everything on full, hdr off.

But my fps varies quite a lot it can peak at 200-300. But i limit my fps to 130, cus got 120hz montior. and the fps seems to dip to 80, with this graphics card i would expect a solid 130fps no matter what.

Is this down to the game itself? I know it's been updated a lot recently, but wondering what other peoples experience is.

Wouldnt 120hz be 120fps? I'm going to guess that you are using vsync and triple-buffering (which causes mouse lag btw) and when your GPU or CPU can't quite manage the 120fps, it would drop to 80fps rather than 60 because of the triple buffering.

if you were in a scene where your PC could only manage 119fps then you would get:

No vsync: 119fps
Vsync: 60 (even at 120hz)
vsync + triple buffering: 80

EDIT: oops, i think it would be 90 not 80

Running E8400 o/c to 4ghz. I have multi-core rendering disabled so maybe i will try it enabled.

Got vsync off completely, went with 130 fps as there is issues with css and high dpi mice causing negative acceleration, and higher fps helps solve the problem. Would prefer to max it higher as at 130fps i dont see any screen tearing.

I dont know about the 460, but i used to get nearly 400fps in the stress test before all the updates..

Now, i barely get 200fps....

I'd love to know how an update that makes zero difference to the gfx, whilst at the same time halving the frame rate..constitutes progress...

hmm, turned multi core rendering back on has helped, upped my fps limit to 150 and seems more stable now. They improved the multi core rendering in an update last week so thing it's help.

i get about 190fps on my core i5 750 and with vsync on a constant 120 with no dips unless its a badly made custom map.

and i can confirm i jumped from a 5770 to 460gtx there was no fps increase or drop. my 9800gt struggled however but that is 512mb.
