GTX 470 idle power usage

Looking online it states that the reference GTX 470 idles using around 170w.

Is this true even when the card underclocks itself to core of 50.6Hz?
 
I highly doubt its using 170watt for just the GPU at 50MHz but I've never monitored mine at purely idle - somewhere in the region of 30-50watt seems more likely.
 
33W is supposedly the idle power draw for a GTX470. This will probably double if you have more than one monitor plugged in.
