GTX 480 issues

Hi all, bought one of the Asus GTX 480s a few weeks back. Last week started to notice red artifacts on the screen, notably in Unigine's benchmark as well as Bad Company 2.

These artifacts appear as red ********* shapes on the screen, flashing on and off and becoming more frequent the longer the GFX card is in use.

Does anyone have any experience of this, and know what may be causing it?

what temps are you getting when this happens?

Normal temps, no spikes, nothing out of the ordinary.

hmm interesting, never had such a problem with my 480, id contact ocuk support then =/
maybe the vram is overheating or something

Sigh, maybe. I already tried contacting tech support from OCUK last week, but no reply :/

Not at all.

I will try a clean driver install after using driver cleaner, and reconnect the card...maybe will make a difference.

No luck.

Had huge artifacting at some point last night while playing BC2 - red blobs appearing sporadically on screen with more and more frequency until BOOM! the system hung

Arranging an RMA now...

when did you get it?
hopefully less than 28 days as then you have the right of a direct replacement or refund if they cant offer one
over 28 the seller can choose to offer repair replace or refund which prob means them sending it off to asus and a lengthy wait

Fortunately still in the 28 day period so lucky there. Card is being sent back today - will wait and see how the process goes.

Sent a replacement from OCUK (many thanks for the excellent service btw), and so far so good
