Right i've been messing with my new card today and managed to get a 800core and 4848 memory stable at 1.03v. I've tried a 850core and 4002 memory but i can't get it stable. I went all the way up to 1.06v and it still wouldn't stabilise while running Heaven... it just crashes after about a minute in.

What voltages are people using for a stable 850 and 900core?

Thanks

Wow, i can't even get mine stable at 1.06v for 850core... Think my power supply might be restricting it? I have a Corsair HX650W.

Your PSU should be fine, unless its faulty...

My cards are POV Beast Editions and come pre-overclocked to 846 Core @ 1.050V... I guess there cherry picked. I did pay £320 for each one though, about 5 months ago.

Ah that explains it then, mines 742mhz standard from factory at 0.988v. I'm not sure what to do at this point.. whether to keep bumping up the voltage or just leave it at 800core for now.

Don't about the gtx 570......But most GTX 580's need about 1.1volt to get 900 core speeds
I would thought the GTX 570 would need around the same voltage as a 580

This is my gtx 580 900core settings

Well i've finally got mine to stabilise at 850core on 1.04v which is good i spose! Dont know why i couldn't get it to run heaven through once before on 1.06v.... possibly overvolting it?

Anyway just ran 3Dmark11 through on performance settings and got this:

:O

What psu do you have by the way? I'm thinking of upgrading soon.

That's an amazing overclock in my standards!

I have a Corsair HX520, which I know is a little on the weak side for my setup.

I was going to upgrade my psu when I switched to sandybridge but thought I would wait and see how the HX520 coped, I've had zero problems though so I've just kept it.

And theres me thinking i should upgrade my Corsair HX650.. Think i'll wait out too then.

Just got my memory clock upto 4002 with 852/1704 Core/Shader clock on 1.042v

Happy with this for now, no need for a 900 core until it struggles in games.

Well this is just weird, i can run 3Dmark11 on a vcore of 1.042 volts but to run the same overclock settings in Unigine Heaven i need to bump it upto 1.062 volts!

Has anyone experienced this before?
