I currently run mine on 1.125v at 880/1760/2048. Idle temps at 31 max load on BFBC2 71/crysis 2 73/74. All on Air.

Best to just try and find a stable clock for playing crysis 2 as its very fussy. I mean at max res(1920/1080 for me) DX11 patch, everything on Ultra and High Res textures.

Using afterburner?

if so do you leave the fan on auto or manually adjust?

Yea using afterburner 2.2.0 beta 7 at the moment and leave the fan on auto. so far highest fan speed percentage has been 57%. runs at 40% idle. Of course this all depends on case and air flow. My above isnt amazin as I need a master class in cable management lol.

Is it correct that you can only modify the voltages if you have a reference card? If you don't have a reference card do you have to use nVIDIA inspector? Thoughts? and sorry for the thread hijack :)

I've been thinking of overclocking my gtx 580! But worried about the voltages.
What are the "safe" volts for the gtx 580?, temps I'm not worried about as my 580 is under water.

Any help would be good, thanks

Anything up to 1.150v "should" be fine in my opinion. Though I've seen people putting much more through. Obviously temps are the thing to watch and then there's the thorny issue of "what's stable" (obviously people have different ideas here). No flame war please, that's just my opinion. :)

At the moment I'm not too bothered with OCing my card. As the only game I can't run "maxed out" (God I hate that phrase) and get around 60FPS, is (no surprise here) Metro 2033.

Ok thank you.

Ive got a msi N580GTX Twin Frozr II as well and have clocks at 900/1800/2100 24/7 stable @ 1.075 volts in afterburner.

temps are 45 idle and 85 max

Asus GTX580 Matrix platinum 920/1840/4400 @ 1.113v at the moment.
35c Idle 88c Load

Really depends on what card, overclocks can really vary with GTX580s i've found. But you can at least get an 'idea' of where to shoot based on others' results.
