Hi there

Due to the sucess of the GTX 680 and the fact we will have sold out over the weekend I am doing this thread to keep all customers with backorders and new potential customers aware of what we have en-route and our expected delivery date:-

Asus GTX 680 - In stock, approx 12pc left! No ETA for more!!
EVGA GTX 680 - en-route, delivery next week, available!
EVGA GTX 680 SC - en-route, delivery 1-2 weeks, available!
EVGA Backplate - 50 en-route, ETA next week!
KFA2 GTX 680 - 100 en-route, ETA this Friday (30th March)
Gainward GTX 680 - 5 en-route, delivery Monday, 5 available!
Gigabyte GTX 680 - 6 left!! No ETA for more!!
MSI GTX 680 - 5 en-route, delivery Monday, 4 available!
OcUK GTX 680 - 20 en-route, delivery Tuesday, 12 available!
POV GTX 680's - Stock due 1-2 weeks!
Zotac GTX 680 - 1 left, No ETA.

That is it folks, stock will be very tight during March! Companies such as Asus, EVGA, MSI and Zotac we have very strong relationships with and they know we need stock before anywhere else. So more stock will 110% come from these companies, but only EVGA are giving confident ETA's to us right now.

Some competitors have not sold their stock so quick, so if you look around you still may find some with stock and as much as I hate to say it, if were sold out then buy it as these cards are great, but only buy from other big name competitors, don't fall for the trap of those giving false ETA's who have no buying power.

Right now Asus, Gigabyte and Zotac we have stock, more MSI, Gainward and OcUK beginning of next week and EVGA end of next week. So order in confidence. Hopefully in April stock shall free up a lot more.

I hope this information helps and you order from us, remember the free Haribo. :p ;)

KFA2 GTX 680 - 100 en-route, ETA this Friday (30th March), over 90 left - VERY SAFE TO BUY FOR GUARANTEED DELIVERY NEXT WEEK!

10x Gigabyte GTX 680 in tomorrow, BE QUICK!

That's interesting: I was told yesterday at 1630 the EVGA cards never arrived yesterday. And this was after putting in an order on Wednesday night -- for delivery Friday -- of two MSI cards which were said to have been in stock. Called Thursday and was told order was to be sent out that day -- Friday came and nothing so I called. Was told -- on the phone on Friday -- the MSI cards were sold out and they then switched order to the EVGA variant which would be delivered to me today (Saturday). I called again after 4pm and was told the cards never arrived and so cancelled the order.

So how can your statement be correct?

Have to say, extremely disappointed with the service for me. That's £1400 worth of order (as I ordered 3 x 24" monitors) going elsewhere. Dropped the ball big time here :(

My statement is correct, proven more so by customers getting their shipment confirmation as you can see in this thread.

The problem here is a mistake has happened, you should never have been sold MSI cards, we have none spare, your order should never have been changed to EVGA cards, as again they are all pre-sold so none spare.

I can understand your disappointment and shall have a word with sales on how to prevent these such errors. All I can do is apologise for your experience.

I was disappointed that no-one called on the Thursday to explain what had happened & that the MSI cards were actually not there at all (contrary to the conversation I had earlier in that day).

Switching the order to another 680 GTX variety was a great idea, IMO, if it meant me getting the cards as quickly as possible (ie on the Saturday). What was not great was the contradictory message that they "never arrived / arrived but went out to other pre-order customers".

Huge shame as OCs has been superb in the past and the gold standard for customer service. Things change I guess.

Edit: in great fairness to OCs, I was offered a 10% discount for the hassles on Friday.

Hi there

As promised I shall look into this to try and prevent such issues repeating themselves. If you do ever decide to give us another go then that 10% discount on your next order would stand.

To try and explain how this may have happened to an internal sales guys they can only see stock, but what they can't see is if that stock has orders against it. We did have 2 MSI cards in stock, but they are allocated to orders in our system. This would appear to also happened with EVGA too, our sales staff see 14 in stock and obviously thought there was spare stock, but fact is EVGA cards have like 60 orders against them, so of course none actually spare.

I am going to work with sales to see if this is truly the case and if so get our IT department to resolve this issue so it can't happen again.

Once again you have my apologies.

Hi there

An update:-

Gainward - Loads in stock
MSI - 26 left in stock (Arrived today)
KFA2 - Loads due tomorrow
Zotac - 20 due tomorrow
OcUK - 10 due tomorrow

EVGA - 10 more have shipped due for delivery Wednesday, but they are all pre-sold!!

Eta of next batch? Guessing I'm not in the 10!

The next 10 will be for orders placed between 25-26th of March I believe, they are working hard to get a lot more stock our way but this week shall remain very tight.

I think towards middle of this month EVGA stock may free up, but stock situation shall be tightish for the whole of April.

Why evga so popular? Ive been red too long and only had sapphire cards. Looking at vendors now for a 680. which one is best? Which one does ocuk handle the warrenty for etc?

That 30+ was mainly Gainward sales. :)

EVGA is popular due to a superb warranty and it's also one of the cheapest ones and so far we've only had direct shipments which is best price and keeps web price low. If/when we get stock from a distributor price will/might go up.

im still puzzled as to why theres a shortage?

i know its new and will always be sold out at launch but since the card that is the 6 series were supposed to be launched in nov/dec last year but were put back till to feb/march 2012 shouldnt they have had loads stockpiled for launch?

maybe they are having manufacturing die problems and its that which is slowing down the number being made...or Amd simply are not selling much :D

Demand is higher than supply. :)

Good news is we've just had more MSI arrive, unfortunately from distributor so higher pricing remains, but still we now have plenty of MSI stock, still loads of Gainward and KFA2 and Zotac in today. In total we now have nearly 300 cards in stock. :)

Hi there

Gainward and KFA2 have a cheeky little discount on our This Weekly Only promotion, because yes we got lots of them. :D

Some EVGA 680 should ship today fingers crossed. :)

So on the assumption I go down to OCuk on Friday morning and want a couple of the cheapest 680 they have, which are instock, KFA2 or Gainward? KFA2 sound like the best bet?

OcUK still in stock and cheapest, if your buying a pair we shall ensure you get two of same brand. :)
