GTX 750 Ti

What case are you using? I'd love to put a 750 ti in an ML05/6, but there aren't any LP single-slots available. Looking instead at the ML04 or ML07 (when it comes out) but they're a lot bigger.

Extremely late to the party but I have just done said build, I previously had the ml07b but it was just too deep for my tv unit so I went with the ml05b along with a few mods to cram everything in:

Tools required, dremel and drill.

Parts:
Silverstone ML05B
Seasonic TFX 300W Power Supply
Asus H81I-Plus Mini-ITX Motherboard
Intel Core i5 4670K
2x4GB Kingston HyperX 1866 ddr3 Ram
128 Kingston SSD
2TB Samsung 2.5" HDD
1TB Samsung 2.5" HDD
Gigabyte GTX 750 TI low profile
Zalman CNPS7000-CU (Antique!)

Method, drill 6 holes through the bottom of the case to install the 3 hdd's.
Dremel the lip off where the original psu sits. Drill two holes through the back to hold the psu, the third hole lines up already, add a bit of anti vibration underneath the psu if you wish.
Dremel a bit of the original psu hole away so the gpu fits (Not necessary if you buy the galaxy, kfa2 or zotac 750 ti because you can simply remove the vga connector on those models, however the galaxy model isn't quiet).

The finished article:

Also I drilled extra holes for hdd's just in case I want more storage later:

Things to do:
Put some mesh between the gpu and psu to finish the back where the gap is. Get a proper socket for the spdif out.

Burn test temps:

Other thoughts:
If you wanted more gpu power theres enough room to use a double slot riser and an itx 970, drill some ventilation through the bottom of the chassis and place a 1u psu above the gpu in the old psu location. I had toyed with that idea but didn't fancy having a screaming 40mm 1u psu fan in there; although I hear the new seasonic units are pretty quiet until stressed.

Holy thread Necro lol!

Similar to my build in an MLO6, I use a 160w Pico Psu to power it though.
Never draws more than 130w Gaming with a Xeon 1230v3.

You could also use the HDPLEX 250w PSU with a Dell or HP 330w brick to give enough power for the mini GTX 970 mod.

I'm more interested in next years 16 / 14nm GPU's with HBM
The case will be perfect for some big GPU power then.

As an Aside note, there's also the new ML06-E, which will allow the use of an SFX PSU while still keeping a low profile double slot GPU.
No case mods required.

Haha, looks like I'm even later to the party than I thought looking at your build! I had looked at the hdplex psu's but was too tight to fork out for a decent dc adapter lol. I didn't know about the ml06-e, sods law they introduce it now, although I can't see it for retail anywhere yet. There's a distinct lack of slim small form factor cases for the gtx 750 ti, someones missing a trick there!

They do exist as Custom cases by a few small independent case makers.
Google L2 case and L3 case, that's about as small as you can go for a dual slot low profile card.

I've ordered an L3, I missed the boat with the small run of L2's last year and that's what led me to build in the ML06.

Temps are fine, more like laptop than desktop temperatures but below 80 when heavily loaded is realistic with 40's idle.

Main issue will always be airflow but it's adequate.

World of Tanks, SWTOR

Have played Fallout 3, various steam engine games like TF2, L4D, CSS, various C&C games.

Also that HDPLEX 250W is expensive for what it is.

£60 for that bit then another £60 for a power brick to power it...

For £40 I could buy a 300W FLEX psu with a kettle power cord, strip the 40mm fan off it, pull off half the casing, add a 80mm side fan and still be well under the cost of the HDPLEX+power brick.

In fact that sounds quite tempting.

Some good ideas here, never thought about the FLEX PSU. I have a ML05 but have just put it away and bought a core V1 but I might have to get it back out again and build a second itx for the living room.

So.

I've ordered a FLEX 300W psu for under £40 and if the feedback is correct it should have...

24 pin cable
4 pin cable (for mobo)
And one SATA cable with one connector on it :D

Sounds a bit sparse but is exactly what I wanted.

Last thing I want is an octopus of redundant cables in a cramped case.
