hi guys i was wondering which Graphics cards out of the following provide best performance for monies;

GTX780 3gb
GTX780 6gb
GTX780Ti 3gb

Thanks.

Side note, i am in the process of getting components. I have just ordered the 17 devils canyon.

The 780ti will give the best performance of those cards, though arguably if you are going for 4k resolutions in the future the 6gb normal 780 will be better, though you will need to get at least one more for playable frame rates.

Any of them will do any games justice at 1080

Definetely go for GTX 780 6GB and OC it to 1GHz core and 6.2GHz on Vram. Then you'll have a card that matches within 5% a GTX 780Ti reference card.

Cheapest bang for busck is a 3gb 780, if however you will to sli 2 or more i'd suggest going for the 6GB versions, Most factory O/ced 780's are close if not equal to a reference ti anyway plus you can o/c them on top of that (allowing ofc for silicon lottery)

You're paying a huge premium for 6GB of ram, pointless waste if you're running <1600p even more so if you're only planning on having 1 card.

4k res you could argue you need >3gb, but that's a bridge i'm no longer willing to cross.

Depends.

If you plan to go to 4K during the current generation of graphic cards and not upgrade next year, then GTX780 6GB. (and get 2nd for SLI when you buy the 4K monitor)

If you do not plan to buy a 4K monitor before mid 2015, or you plan to use your current setup for years to come get a GTX780 3GB. Preferably an OC version @1000hz+

If you want the "current" top of the range 780, get the GTX780ti 3GB.

If you want to get a GTX780Ti, SLI it, and use it on 4K monitor, wait until July where there is rumour for GTX780Ti 6GB version.

Personally I am dithering between selling my GTX780 Ghz now to get a 6GB version, or wait until next year and see what the new AMD & Nvidia GPU lineup has to offer.

hi guys sorry for not replying quicker. The resolution im aiming at is 2560x 1280 or 1080 depending when i decide on what screen i want. I play a lot of different games and do modeling on CAD software.
