GTX 960 pictured !!!

How hard is it to overclock a 970? Max out target power, +200 core, +500 mem. Done.. Why do you believe it would be any different with the 960?

Because if the 660 is anything to go buy Nv will gimp the max voltage so it doesn't make the next card up the ladder obsolete.

There's no guarantee it will be a monster overclocker, it's likely to have the potential but that doesn't mean they'll allow it, doesn't make sound business sense.

If those scores are legit, we're talking GTX770 beaters with GTX650ti power/heat figures here. As long as the price isn't too close to the GTX970 this is shaping up good.

Wouldn't surprise me. My passively cooled 750ti beats my old 660 SC, barely above 40 degrees overclocked and draws about 65w so it doesn't even need external power. Bonkers.

That's a golden chip right there. Crazy that in a few years and die shrinks time 5Ghz+ overclocking will likely be the norm :p
Yep, very impressive chip. Have only seen a few like this across various forums.

This will be a peach of a budget card. nVidia doing the business :)
Certainly hope so. Coming at a nice time too as the 650 ti boost in my second system is starting to act up. And theres no way it's getting a 780 from the main system.:D

+1

This is looking like a very nice budget GPU, good performance very low power use. Ideal for it's tier.

I wish I lived in the same world where £200 GPUs were classed as budget gear :D

Yes it's budget compared with three Titans, but budget, really? It's more like mid tier as it's looking more and more likely you wont get much change (if any) from 200 notes.

It is a midrange budget card, just like the 460, 560, 660, 760 before it..

The pricing if below £200 is actually pretty good, considering way back the GTX 460 (2010: Another budget card) launched between £155 to £178.
