Does anyone out there have a GTX 970 or 980 (Single or SLI) and has Project Cars? I'm trying to find out how it performs with these cards as it is not the best on my Crossfire 7970 setup. Averages 38 to 70 fps, 1080p High Settings with 13 AI Cars on the more demanding tracks - but it's not a smooth experience due to Micro-stutter - 1 card is smooth but lower fps. Other games like BF4, Crysis 3 etc run great in Crossfire.

More AMD tweaking will come before release but likely won't be night and day tweaks.

I've just got a 970 and it runs buttery smooth in even the worse weather conditions/track combo's. Never dropping below 50fps @ 1080p MAXED details with DS4X.

Since it's only a couple of months away and your card is still pretty good I'd wait it out until release. It should and will run better when released but to what extent no one knows just yet.

Don't think it is actually using any PhysX features which are exclusive to running on Nvidia GPU's. That said it does run much better on Nvidia hardware at present although AMD performance is being worked on.

That aside I run a mix of high/ultra @ 5900*1080 with two overclocked 780's and average 60-100FPS with 32 AI plus any weather conditions.

A 970 should handle it with ease at 1920*1080.

Playing it with SLI 970's and at 5760x1080 I'm getting over 60 fps.

Everything maxed apart from detailed grass is off and FXAA is on high.

I have to say that the game is running much better than it was a fe weeks ago.

It still needs proper triple screen support though.

Thanks for your feedback guys! I will probably go for 2 970's as I'd like a minimum of 60 fps. I know two is a lot for 1080p but I don't think one is enough for full details 60fps without reducing settings.

Enjoy and a pair will keep you going :)
