The EK SLI blocks actually reverse the flow on one GPU if you get the Serial models rather than parallel.

@EK Luc Can you provide an EK stance on the matter?

Both ports can be used as inlets or outlets. If you use the left port as an inlet, you'll then use the jet plate to it's fullest in terms of flow. But since the jet plate isn't really restrictive, you can still use the right port as an inlet. Anyway, we couldn't had a too restrictive solution since you need to have one of your 2 cards in reverse flow when you connect 2 GPU's in a serial pattern.

The addition of the jet plate did gave us the ability to rotate the micro-channels compared to the non-jetplated previous blocks and this way the active cooling is wider.

Also, the jet plate don't have to be removed...
