GTX260 stuck in 2d mode.

I have a GXT260 and it's always in 3d mode, but I put that down to duel monitors.

In the end I have made a profile, that clocks GPU and memory down as far as they go (runs on bootup). For games I just put the speed back.

It's running 144mhz Core, and 249 MHz memory, I tried BBC I Player HD and it's lightning quick (not noticed any difference from full 3D mode) - For 2D work we need only a small amount of what these modern 3D cards can offer.

Well when it gets stuck in 2d mode, I can't even change the clock settings at all through Rivatuner, I can move the sliders but nothing happens.

No RavenXXX2 you're missing the point, it's not supposed to be doing that so it needs sorting...

Oh ffs it's done it again, down to 400 on the core, did it as I was trying to change AA settings in BFBC2, what a p155 take.

Forgot how crap NV drivers were.

Yeah.

Why can't I alter the voltage in MSI Afterburner? Even after checking the unlock voltage in settings?

Any ideas?

I've tried everything, it's stuck at 399/297/799 and only works if I restart.

Don't know what could possible be causing this.

My card has started doing this again, on the loading screen in Crysis Warhead.

Why does it crash and stick in 2d mode here when I can run benchmarks like furmark and some others which stress the GPU more and they don't crash it.

My GTX280 has been stuck in 3D mode for a while now. I think it may be due to multi monitors, but one has been disabled recently and it's still stuck. Better than being in 2D, but it's getting fairly hot for just sitting there on the desktop.
