I know, the stuttering was terrible wasn't it, once second its doing about 80fps, then boom quick pause, and its down to 20 odd.

Yeah! he should have used 3 X 4850's 1GB versions & it would have ran much smoother

I really dont get it though, all he did was overclock the card then it died? must have been faulty allready? As usually the card would not die a quick death like that, and the temperature... well never knew the coolers where that bad.
i think they run the test for a few days
Errr - lots of people do have experience of things failing after overclocking them - Doesn't anyone remember the 7900GS? I'm pretty sure they all died after being overclocked. At least a few Wolfdales have bit the dust due to high VTT voltages, and graphics cards are infamous for 'sparklies of death' after they've been clocked a bit too hard.
No, that's an Intel CPU. Even AMD CPUs don't do that.
