Howdo

I'm at work. We spend an hour at lunch gaming, and have new computers with GTX460s and dual monitors. I'd like to try out gaming split screen, but can't seem to find anywhere to set it up. Is it even possible?

When you say split screen you mean across 2 monitors yeah?

I've got 2 GTX 460s and got 2 monitors but never tried gaming across 2 screens, but I don't think it's possible. I think you need 3 monitors in order to use them for gaming. Not 100% sure on this though.

That's what i mean aye. If you can't do, that's slightly ****. I've done it on my 5830 before.

I would assume you can't do this as Nvidia's surround multi screen tech requires two physical cards for it to work. Eyefinity works on a single AMD card so it is no suprise that it worked fine on the HD5830.

I don't see why you couldn't, but I also can't see the point as you'll have a lovely black bar right down the middle of your perspective, so it's only really a decent option for RTS games, where extra screens aren't that useful.

you need 3 screens, and as such SLI in order to have 3 outputs, whether this is a dual gpu card or two single cards doesnt matter though.

Unless the game specifically supports it, such as Supcom or world in conflict irrc
