Hello,

I have recently got myself a laptop with the Nvidia GTX950M graphics card. I am pleased with the performance, it is perfect for my needs. However, when the laptop is not connected to the mains charger, performance drops rapidly.

I understand that this is to do with power saving settings but I cannot find any information in the manual or online on how to change these settings without editing the registry of my computer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
windows 10?
right click on the desktop, click Display settings, on the left click Power and Sleep, then click "additional power settings", if there's an options for "high performance" click that and/or click "change plan settings" and then "change advanced power settings"... there will be a section for "switchable graphics" and then change both to "performance"

or you can go to control panel > hardware and sound > power options

Mobile gpu run slower while on battery, it is just the way it is, no power settings can save it.
