Guess who'se back? Back again!

Nice smart case. Like the 302 as well, makes sense to go for that though with the more up to date specification for anyone looking for a nice tidy build.

The 300's down side is being unable to hide the CPU 12V aTX cable round the back.

You can, it's a bit awkward to get the cable through, you have to put the connector through the gap at the top near the drive bays then slide it towards the back of the case. When I fitted an XFX XXX edition PSU I had to remove the top fan to get the cable past then refit the fan, it was either that or remove the motherboard or possibly just the cooler (Hyper 612S).

You can quite easily mod the 300 to have very good cable management, it's a great case if you have the time and patience to mod it. If you reverse the hard drive bays and cut holes for the cables in the motherboard tray they can easily be hidden too.

I really wanted an Antec 300 till I saw the Fractal Arc Midi, much better case and doesn't cost much more especially if you are going to be buying decent fans. Get much more for your money. The Midi R2 is out now and it's everything I wish the 300 was back in the day.

Surely the Antec One is a better value than the 300 now? If it were still nearer £40 I'd be tempted.

Good case, but I thought of it as more of a budget option. I nabbed one on the cheap years ago for a P4 system. It is a good solid thing, decent quality, but I would never put a £60 pricetag on it :(

There are far better cases that can be had for that money. The Shinobi windowed for example is the same price, add another £5 and you're in Carbide 300R territory.

It can be had cheaper from a competitor, I bought one from here for £38 in 2010, and the Antec 302 - which is the re-release of the same case with many improvements such as:

- cable management holes
- CPU backplate cutout
- re-oriented drive bays
- tool-less drive fittings
- support for mounting the PSU the other way up
- external WC holes
- USB 3.0
- better PCI fittings
- support for mounting a 2.5" drive in the bottom of the case
- a fan mounting point behind the CPU location on the other side panel
- better quality finish

is exactly the same price...

Just my opinion, but I think it should be at least £10, perhaps even £15 less :)

... With so many more newer and more modern case available now, I fail to understand why it would still retail at such a high price, particular with its limited length for graphic card...

Can be fixed in about two minutes flat with a flat blade screwdriver and a hammer. Place the flat blade against the rivet's domed head and a short sharp blow with the hammer knocks the rivet apart easily allowing you to remove the lower drive cage...

Did it myself and now have a 7950 card in my Antec 300. Great case made even better with the above mod.

Yeah these were a good option for budget builds, however they are no longer budget price :( Think I paid £29.99 for mine.

Was a decent case tho

Its the fact that it is priced at the exact same price point as the 302 which confuses me. When the 302 is the same case but with everything Antec 300 owners wanted to see changed.

I don't even understand why we need the 300 anymore now the 302 exists...

I don't think there was a 301, the 302 is the 300 two, shortened to 302, which is the one I have, which is also available with black insides, that was released like a week after I bought the one with silver insides, wish I'd known, I'd have waited!

Make like an Antec 300 owner and spray the inside black! :D
