Guide to Drifting and Burnouts

surely the reason he is doing that to the passat is because it isn't his car :p

Thing is there is already LOTS of pressure from the industry on the provision of like for like cars following non fault accidents. Trying to wreck a brand new Passat given to you after somebody wrote off a £700 Mondeo even though you've replaced your car and don't even need the hire car is the sort of thing thats just going to lead to curtains for this sort of operation.

And of course although the third parties insurer is footing the bill for all this hire, you can bet us lot pay through increased premiums :(

yeh i completely understand
what i didn't understand was why he was using a hired passat when he bought a replacement mondeo the other week..

seen before im better then him :p

Had to do a double-take. It's usually the local chavs in Maccy D's carpark doing this.

Becuase he hasn't informed the hire company that he now has a replacement car. This could bite him, hard, becuase under law you have a duty to mitigate your losses in the event of a third party claim - it is acceptable to claim you needed a similar car as a replacement but it is unacceptable to claim hire for longer than you need it.

If the third parties insurer found out about this, and brought it up in court, they'd almost certainly NOT be liable for the hire charges.

And also, if this photo here, posted on this public internet forum here, were to accidentally end up with a certain insurer, he'd also be bitten hard?

noob/drunk q:

is there more to it than just dumping the clutch?

Not really, just wind it up and dump the clutch. If you can't do a burnout then don't even think about trying a donut, because you are beyond hope. Even girls can do a rolling burnout.
