It has to be redeemed direct through iTunes and iTunes has to have the film available in UHD to get the upgrade.

If you are redeeming through VUDU or moviesanywhere, it has to be an UHD code you are redeeming, it can't be a HD code.

It can get quite confusing, Apple should just upgrade all films to UHD regardless of how they were redeemed. :)

I have tried this using Hola on Chrome on my Mac and also using VPNSecure on my iPhone, and i get the error every time, has anybody else had this issue before?

The error i get is...
"Error
Failed to redeem promo, please try again later."

Any help with this would be very much appreciated

Is it definitely a US code you are trying to redeem? If you send me the code I'll try and redeem it through my VUDU if I haven't already got it, if it doesn't redeem then there's an error, if it does redeem I'll buy you a new code. :)

Although I had to put in a made up 10 digit phone number, it still uses my UK number for two step authentication as that is the trusted phone number originally signed up with. When I signed into my Apple TV, I had to go through two step authentication, so it would have been impossible any other way. For Movies Anywhere, the free Windscribe worked fine to successfully create the account, although I had to play around with the different locations, it did go through in the end.

I currently have a lot of UK 4K codes for a lot of newly released titles, Ive tried putting these into Vudu and Movies Anywhere but they won't go through. I'm trying to get them to sync through to my Apple TV in 4K. In the first post it says that UK codes can be redeemed on VUDU, has this now been changed so that UK codes can't be redeemed on VUDU? I can redeem them into my UK UV account, but then they'll only sync into iTunes in HD. Is there any other way to redeem UK codes so they'll sync through to iTunes in 4K?

What code is it? Do you want me to try and redeem through my Flixster account and see if i get 4K through itunes and VUDU? If it works then i'll buy you a new code or the US equivalent. :)

I have just redeemed a 4K code of La La Land through my UK Flixster account, it has linked to VUDU but it isn't MoviesAnywhere so won't port to iTunes unfortunately. Redeeming UK codes through Flixster works though so that's a bonus, try and redeem Deadpool 2 through Flixster, that will then show in your VUDU account as UHD and also port to itunes through MA as UHD too. :)

Just try one first and see if it works for you, try your least favourite film just incase it only redeems HD.

Just noticed that, Deadpool is on there but not 2, that's strange. Also noticed that my copy of La La Land which i redeemed through Flixster last night has now gone from my VUDU account so it may not work after all.

What are the instructions given on the slip? Fox redeem? If so, that'll work fine as when you redeem, it'll give you an iTunes option. Just make sure you are logged into your US apple ID when it opens iTunes.

smartDNS will no longer allow me to register new Movies Anywhere accounts, still works fine for accessing VUDU etc and Fandangonow.

Same error with Getflix, I've spoken to both customer service agents and either of them can figure out what I'm trying to say to them :p

Yes very trustworthy, i have used them loads of times. Setup Hangouts to send them a message, pay through paypal and receive the code through Hangouts. :)
 
MA are really on the ball when it comes to using a DNS service, I've tried 3 different DNS addresses and none of them work anymore. :(

We need a friend in the US who's willing to set them up now. :p

Shouldn't be a problem as long as you have your UV library linked with another service, your films will remain yours.

Not possible without Movies Anywhere unfortunately.

Why don't you watch it through VUDU?
