Pre purchase gives a code thats activated on the GW2 servers and you are ready to go for release, physical box with a key code in it AFAIK. Pre purchase will need for the physical goods to be sent on/for release date.

Guys from the GW2 thread will ofc be able to give further info.
 
I see.

I don't think we have been offered that from our distributor, however the games will be with us well before launch allowing us to ensure that every player gets their game 'in time' for release ;)
 
Just so you guys know, you will have to make sure the game arrives 1-2 days or more before release.

For a pre-purchase, you get 3 days headstart (access to the game on the 25th) and access to all beta weekends(which are over now)

For a all pre-order, you get a 1 day headstart (access to the game on the 27th), so if you make the game arrive on release day you wont get the headstart access.

Just though you would like to know before you get lots of angry customers.

Hopefully this isn't against the rules, but pre-purchase everywhere I've looked is at least £15 more than retail, back in may for the beta access I could understand but I'm not sure I could warrent £5 extra per day now, seems excessive for someone who isn't sure of the game yet.

So this seems like a great price, and with the guarantee of delivery I'm sure to pre-order soon once I find out who else is playing :D
 
Out of intrest how noob friendly is this game? Ive never played a game like this, is it a steep learning curve? Will i just get dominated if i try to play it?

Just to confirm, if we preorder with OcUk will we get the game 3 days early ready for the headstart on the 25th?

after reading this "If you pre-order Guild Wars 2 before 12pm on Friday 24th of August 2012 we will guarantee that you will receive it by the release date of Tuesday 28th of August 2012" I would have said no but just wanna be sure b4 i order

No, this is a pre-order.
You get a 1 day headstart for pre-orders.
The 3 day head start is for pre-purchases only.
