Guild Wars 2

I'm curious is this a gw2 thread or a cjs whine thread?

Well seeing as quite a lot of this threads posters went with CJS, people are just sharing their experiences.

It's not as bad as multiple people bickering and making the thread unbearable for everyone else or turning it into a guild recruitment thread.

Go here and find the cheapest in the relevant section: https://buy.guildwars2.com/retailers

Hopefully people will realise that there's a reason there's "official" resellers and "the rest" after the CJs mess.

They are all out of stock, you'd think the official resellers would actually have more stock than they did been out for a little while now.

Main site has stock still, so at least that is ok.

FINALLY! NCsoft responded and they can now remove keys from your account!

Hello Bhav,

The Guild Wars 2 Serial Code that you registered was originally purchased from our website https://buy.guildwars2.com/. This purchase was made using a stolen credit/debit card and was thus flagged as a fraudulent charge. This resulted in the provided serial code being permanently disabled.

Since the code has been disabled and removed from your account, you should be able to apply your new code to your e-mail address using the https://register.guildwars2.com/ link.

Please let me know if you have any problems doing so.

Regards,
NCsoft Payment Review

And it worked, my new key is applied now :)

Yeah that is brilliant news, was that via GW2 Support or NcSoft support though?

You saw the reply i got from the GW2 support yesterday, that's the only reason i ask and it looks like NcSoft.

This was from NCsoft support yes, but took them a full week to sort it out.

I also cant wait to be able to change my email address for my GW account, need to move it to a more secure username than my decade old current email address.

I'll try via their support then, i received 2 replies on my original message one from an NcSoft employee or so the his signature said and the other from a GW2 support person.

Cheers for that, hopefully can get it sorted now.

We’ll be conducting a stress test on Monday May 14 from 11 AM to 6:00 PM PDT (-7 GMT).

This special test event is open only to Pre-Purchase customers who have registered their accounts. With your help, we can conduct important tests and address some of the issues we identified during our first Beta Weekend Event. During this event, all you need to do is play normally with a new or existing character on your Beta account using the same game client. Please note that since this is a stress test of our servers, you may experience some in-game performance issues. If you’ve pre-purchased Guild Wars 2 and wish to participate in the stress test, we recommend that you register the account and download the game client.

Can't really imagine why people would be interested or excited to play a one-day stress test. Yes, let's level a character to level 5 on a laggy and unplayable server. I think I'll just wait for the game's full release before hopping onto any other gameplay events... I saw enough in the first open weekend to know they have some work to do before release.

Some people played less on the weekend due to time constraints, it is a wonder why people would play for only day! Come on :p

It's a chance to waste a night before D3 and after the Secret World beta, yea yeaaa!

I played D2, therefore I have zero excitement about D3, which seems to do nothing better and a lot of things worse. Meh. 7 hour 'events' as well. PC gaming is slim pickings nowadays.

Would suggest characters from previous events are being retained. Not bothering with this though, GMT - 7 is the main deal breaker.

Interested re: the changes in the next BWE though, also if they are keeping characters through beta events I may try and see some dungeon content next event.

Just to make sure because it confused me and others, generally when they put other time zones in brackets they mean (This will start at this time zone - x hrs from the original). For example, any other company would've put (+7 GMT) meaning, 6pm then add BST 7pm.

7pm - 2am for UK peoples, I think :p
