One could argue that the patches and support on WoW is better.
I'm not sure where really, when you look at the server infrastructure in use by GW1 which in 7 years has had only 32 hours down time, in comparison to WoW which has several hours a week.
Content wise, well people have been raiding dragonsole since november last year! WoW also tends to do minor things between expansions, maybe a new dungeon here and there.
No one knows what ArenaNET have planned yet for GW2, but the systems in place allows them to add things on the fly without taking the servers down. So expect new events to take place before your very eyes.
It's just more from a roleplaying point of view - I find it weird to be switching through different elements at the drop of a hat.
