Guild Wars 2

GW2 is as full fledged an MMO as any other.
It's no longer you and your party but lots of other people.

Oh really  Thats pretty awesome then, I always find it boring in online games when you seem to be alone in the world never seeing other players or groups wandering around.

How about we change the subject a bit.

My G600 arrived today, I ordered it around 15:30 yesterday from OcUk, had free next day shipping and it arrived at 09:15 :D

I was originally going to make do with my older Logitech mouse, but it has started to play up recently so I figured if I'm going to get a new mouse, the huge customization of the G600 would be so useful, and personally I'm not a big fan of the Razor stuff, so being logitech I jumped at the chance to get it (great price too, OcUk sell it for £10 less than most places, add in free next day shipping and win win :D).

just a tip but I found that rebinding the g-shift key to a regular shift key works better

The open world is one instance, if it fills up then you are moved to an overflow instance and queued for the 'real' instance until space becomes available.

GW2 is far more MMO than GW1 but it's not FULL ON MMO either. It's very much a hybrid taking bits and bobs from loads of different areas. Hopefully it works. Personally I feel most endgame will be PvP content for me, PvE does not seem to be able to offer much in the endgame.

Just curious as to why you don't think its a fully fledged MMO Sin?

I'm thinking Human Necro but I hate the Necro heals, relying on the minion is irritating.

You have 2 other healing spells later.

1 of them consumes the conditions on you and heals you for X amount + X amount per condition.

The other heals you and others around you for a set amount.

So have you levelled character to end level? Or even explored 30% of the games world?

Unless you have there's no way to determine what the end game is, or have any idea on the amount of content...

Whats the leveling like? I heard it took 10 hours for someone to get to level 15, also told that the level cap is 80, any of this true? not read up on it.

You can get to level 15 faster then that, I assume it was just a new player exploring etc. the level cap is level 80 indeed however the level curve isn't that of conventional MMO's like WoW. After level 20 or so the curve goes flat and it takes the same time to level each level all the way to 80. See pic below:

Thanks for the info, looks like it will take a good old while to get to level cap, although Guild Wars for me was always about taking your time and exploring etc.

Yeah, I've already rebound it to Shift-Numpad enter, and then set up mumble to use that as Push-To-Talk. In some games I can see it being useful as something other than a regular key, like may a press and hold DPI switch for FPS games, or used as a g-switch key in something where you need as many buttons as possible (GW2 is fine without using g-switch).

What's the deal with gaming mouses?

Does it help with playing the game? I just use big standard mouse and keyboard but if it works much better I may be tempted.
