Guild Wars 2

I'm not a kid and have lots of experience with GM's and Officers, and I agree with that impression tbh. In this thread you are coming across as being very defensive and a bit holier-than-thou with your guild's 'status' on Desolation (which is nothing more than a recruit-all zerg guild, no?)

 kids

Wondered why I got kicked. Are we supposed to get warnings when we're being booted for patches?

Information about them on guild wars 1 used to appear in the chat box, haven't been on when a patch is done on GW2 yet but i'd assume it'd be the same or similar?

Still can't login :(

It's a little annoying that they are currently forcing game restarts 2-3 times a day, and still haven't solved the log-in server problems that arise as a result. I'd prefer 1 'bigger' patch a day to being locked-out for 35 minutes at a time, 3 times a day...

Managed to get my warrior to lvl 15 but got really stressed doing some story missions (very difficult) and WvWvW wasn’t fun as melee either. Rolled a ranger and I am having way more fun now, only lvl 7 though.

I have mixed feeling about the game, definitely not as exciting to play as Tera or even SWTOR for me personally for some reason.

Also I find the gfx to be rather average at most for some reason, I really hope to find some jaw dropping moments like I did in Tera later on.

Your zerg guild is going to fail before it has even started at this rate. Most of your 'established' playerbase come from this forum, where people seem to have an unequivocally negative impression of you as a GM. Doesn't bode well, does it?

Every 2 weeks servers get moved up and down a ranking based upon where they finished at the end of the WvWvW. So if you get stomped you move down the table. So the stompers all end up at the top vs each other and the stompees all end up at the bottom vs each other.

Right now it's 24 hours to reset not 2 weeks so they can quickly be ranked up against each other, so if you're on a bad server (IE fissure of woe) you won't spend the next 2 weeks not being able to play WvW, eventually FoW will end up against 2 other similar servers.

I ask because the server I am on is a low population server and the other two servers we are against are a low and a high population server. The high population server has taken the whole map and the low population servers have not got the numbers to do anything about it at the moment. It may well have a cap of 666 per side? or whatever it is, but we don't have the numbers to fill our side up at the moment and are getting overwhelmed with ease every time we attack anything.
Lets see how it go's after the first rotations.

The fact he's sourced his membership from this forum will be his undoing, how many guilds has this forum started? Multiple WoW ones, an EVE one, a SWTOR one e.t.c. and they've all fallen apart pretty rapidly.

 You must be playing a different game, or have it on low settings.

I actually prefer to turn some graphics settings down to 'Medium', preferring the style over 'High'. Personally I cannot stand the latest generation Shader graphics that give everything a ridiculous plastic-laminate sheen. My character glows, even at night! It's rubbish.

Well also remember any 'hardcore' elements that may be on your server might be power levelling to 80 before bothering with WvW. Also from when Desolation got spanked a couple of nights ago the main difference I could see was willingness to buy siege equipment - when nobody on Desolation was getting any and Gandara were we couldn't push ever and they started the steamroll.

I think it would be better trying to assess it in a month from now when there are large 80 populations and strategies are developing on how best to go about capping the map / disrupting them from being able to cap.

 kids, we being going 12 years unlike you guys who can't organise. **** up in a brewery we know how to run guilds, that's why we retain 90% of our player base, even with over 2 years out players still came back.

A few patches went live late last night and there were no issues, so presumably as you have said, it is an issue with them booting everyone and then the login servers folding when they ultimately try to get back in.

Without any patch notes though its hard to even speculate how vital the patches are, but i'd guess that it isn't just on a whim. If anything it may be in anticipation of the traffic later tonight, being launch day and all.
