Guild Wars 2

So I am trying out battlegrounds, the w v w v w one. How do I move around there? I only see one teleporter at citadel and it's far far away from battle.
So I ran all the way from citadel to battle, died and now I have to revive back at citadel and run for 10min again to fight? Am I missing something?

Destroyer of server communities.

Just use /map and look for people the old fashioned way.

I disagree - the /m chat on Desolation has been shocking. It's like being stuck in a play pool of 14 year old ******. The only other game with such antisocial all chat in is LoL.

A LFG tool is a massive convenience, I have no idea how you can say that would 'destroy a servers community' any more than having overflow shards.

I can see his point to an extent.

It helped murder the communities in wow as gone where the days of talking with one another and getting to know players. Instead spam button, enter random dungeon without even travelling there, act like an ass hat to people because you won't see them again.

A LFG tool is convenient but bad for communities.

Because Overflows are just a way to allow you to all play together even if the main server has too many people for it to handle.

A LFG tool kills any kind of communication between people on a server. Look at WoW before the LFG tool, had much more of a community feel with less ******** even if it was somewhat harder to find a group. Now it's full of ********, easy to find a group but the only community feeling is within a guild.

It's not too bad late at night but I do agree somewhat it's very bad (General chat server-wide usually is). They need a dedicated LFG channel.

For us you would need to sign up to our website and then jump on the game or our mumble and bug Dist for a invite. (www.mmo-guild.co.uk)

You can join the guild first and see if you like then join the website what ever suits :D

I'm a member of the website already I think from SWTOR days (I ended up rolling a different server though so never joined the guild).

I just messaged Dist, but had to log off and now can't get back on; i'll poke him next time I am on :)

Need to decide on what class etc... to run first though :( keep changing my mind.

Unfortunately this is all to true, and th reason I play MMO is for the community feel in games.

Still can't login :( Wandered off for an hour in hope that it'd be sorted by the time i came back........

EDIT: YESS finally in!

Logging in on launcher over and over and over, finally get in, won't log in at character select.... This is the first time I've had any real issues with logging in so I shouldn't complain, but come on, it's been like 3 hours since I was last on now.

Edit: Oooo I'm in :D :D :D :D :D

I don't disagree with what you've said, but overflows are essentially the same thing - you're just pooled with a group of random players from other servers.

You could implement a LFG tool that just matches you with players on your home server, but that is restricting the convenience for the sake of each servers community - a community I dont even really get to see, considering I spend over half of my time in the overflow.

It's just a different beast imo for better or worse. If the maps weren't capped I could understand it, but the community is already splayed everywhere anyway.

Still can't get in. Friends next to me can though :( Also my account worked on friends PC, so it's just my PC that has been working fine the past 3 days...

WoW's lfg tool only became the abomination it is today when they decided to go from battlegroup to 'global'. At 1st it was a really useful tool for those that had rolled a dps class and didn't have friends or a guild to call upon. Then it changed and people became ******* pretty much overnight.

I honestly feel that this game (and the fact is has done away with the holy trinity) just doesn't need a lfg tool though, just grab 4 others and away you go.

They need a dedicated LFG channel.

That is a must have.

As Desolation was full myself and a couple of freinds rolled on Gunnars Hold the weekend.

Just wondering if there are any OcUK or Decent guilds on Gunnars Hold that we could join up with??
