Guild Wars 2

Lol my missus wants to play it, no digital downloads, and no local shops selling it....she's not a happy bunny hehe

I'm about 15 levels higher than the story!

As a thief just massively struggling with the asura story. Had to fight some guy called Ritz who could kill me in 4 hits, could teleport around (meaning my usual kiting pistols were useless) Took me ******* ages, had to switch to sword and pistol and only just managed to do it with the help of my elite.

Much respect to Anet for trying to break the mould, there are some issues they need to sort gameplay wise but this is immeasurably better than another bland WoW clone. This game offers something different than the WoW direction (abd I think WoW and GW2 work well in their own way) and I think the genre will be better for it as the next wave will pick the best of both and improve the genre again (hopefully) rather than the wow clone rut the genre has languished in the last 5 years.

good post newts, echoes my thoughts pretty much exactly. im glad arenanet are doing things differently and now hopefully the mmos being developed in years to come will take on board the best of their ideas and we can all look forward to some innovation in the genre for a change.

oh right. im a human thief but not really touch the story just been exploring different zones, what level are you at now???

im finding this on certain things.espically using skills after 5 and the camera

i turn with the camera on right click only problem with that is it makes it v difficult to lay down aoe skills which is a problem for me.

does anyone have anyo good key bind builds?
 
got this game a few days ago just got round to opening it and trying it out and DVD1 is faulty

it cant be read by my drive at all but DVD2 is fine
what can i do is there an web installer somewhere

Yeah just go on the guild wars 2 website, go on the account section, register your key that is in the box and download the client from there.

thief, i dont think i was a high enough level mate, as the last few ive done havent been so hard...

plus i was still getting used to it all being my first mmo and all that...
 
I think it's much easier for tanky characters. I've set up as a ranged crit thief and the story was making me take on ranged mobs solo that could just take me down so quickly.

they start to get a bit ridiculous when you get to around the level 60 personal quests either tons of mobs or bosses with tons of hp.

some of them are bugged aswell like a million harpys spawning because someone added to many zeros
 
so i downloaded the client all installed and patched ready to go

im guessing Desolation is the main server the OcUK guys are on?
