Guild Wars 2

Will the cheapest salvaging tools give the same quantity as the more expensive ones? Im thinking about farming for normal leather.

AFAIK the quality of the kit affects the chance of recovering upgrades and rare bits, but not the quantity of the basic components you get. that's just based on the tooltips though. Maybe test a few before you buy 20 stacks :D

I am lvl 45, and over the release weekend i was playing 6-8 hours a day. But now i have cut down to 1-2 hours a night, and i haven't played for the past 2 nights. I do find levelling is really fast though. I just logged in now for 1 hour while food was being done, and i managed to get 2 levels! I also 100% every map i start on. :p

Those of you playing who are 50+ how long/often are you playing?

I have only played 4 nights at about 2-3 hours and I'm 15 :p

You probably should have been 15 from just one of those 2-3 hour sessions. But just go at your own pace, I'm 80, there is no rush to get to the 'endgame' since 90% of it is available pre-80.

The only thing I made sure I did whilst leveling was gather like a mofo, you get nice XP for those logs, then every 20 levels or so I would go back to town and splooge all the stuff I'd gathered on professions getting me another few levels.

Yeah you do have to go there to pickup your goodies, though I've never actually had a success ingame mail, its only been by accident that I have gone to check that I have even noticed that I have money to pick up.

To be honest, I dont really like the AH in its current incarnation, I would prefer a more traditional AH style where I put an item up for sale and people bid on that one item and its eventually sold, rather than this one where my item is one of 450 and once I put it up for sale it just disappears in the mass rather than being an individual item that I can track.

Same thing with me. I always get the item I buy (after going to the trade place to pick it up) but I've never had a confirmation mail.

I think the way it does a few things is confusing some people. I've seen several instances of people thinking that having used the "deposit all" option for the first time that they've lost all their crafting goods. They just didn't realize there's a separate tab in your bank.

I agree with your AH views. Not being able to track sales is a pain. You just get money to collect without knowing what item actually sold.

I'm sure I posted something similar somewhere else, but I really can't get into GW2 at all. The whole slowarsed camera panning just ruins it for me, and even more if you start using the mouse to pan then try the keyboard, 'cos it resets and starts its dismal dither all over again.

I'm sure there must be a way to improve the speed ... or at least I hope there is.

Turn the mousespeed up and enable free camera.

Exact same problem as me haha I think that's the problem anyway :P
