Guild Wars 2

Going from 0 to 50 isn't even practical to get at this point. To 30 where you get all the items I'm fairly sure there are guides on how to do it on the net. Essentially you'll be looking at all the easiest to get titles, armours, pets/minipets, weapons and heroes until you hit the major breakpoints then probably grinding a few more on top. You can get a fair few just playing the game and using any excess cash for things like armour.

It might even be impossible to get 30/50 without getting God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals.

My mate who has just started playing before christmas has managed to get to 25/50 with some help by me.

It shouldnt be too difficult getting most of the gw2 items before its released.

But then again, are the items you get really worth spending the time and effort for them?

I got 50/50 because I'm a big gw fan but I wouldn't recommend new people to grind for gw2 items.

I would recommend completing all the campaigns and expansion pack though, just to familiar yourself with the lore. :)

It probably is possible to reach 50/50 without getting it but the biggest issue is money. You'll have to do some of the grind titles which take forever and some of the money based titles which cost far too much for you to get easily.

As for 30/50... you don't need GWAMM. Its just making sure you get all the other trees to the big 'bonus' mark which tends to be a full pedestal then pushing for some of the easier ones. Getting max for the pets/heroes is pretty trivial. Weapons will be very slow. Armour you can easily get everything but Obsidian with some effort (Contracts to get gems and stuff).

Am I right in thinking that GW 2 will have non-instanced, non-faction FFA open world PvP?

Please god let this be true. I have wanted a FFA PVP game for a long time. (I used to play Myth of Soma- PvP system was awesome).

I'm sick of faction-based instanced Pvp ¬_¬.

Have you tried AoC? That was open world free PvP, good fun too, at least as much as the buggy game allowed (I played at release, apparently it's much better now).

Has no one seen the page about pre-purchasing?

The game will pre-purchable on the 11th of

http://www.buy.guildwars2.com/

Though it is £50 just for the game. Though thats seems ok to me as they have spent over 4 years on the game and it's EPIC! I'm slightly annoyed that The Americans only have to pay $60 which is about £37. Whats happened there!!!???

Especially seening as I was planning on getting the Collectors Edition which is at £129.99 and $150, Using a currency converter the Collectors Edition should be at about £94!!! It just seems completly unfair to me on the price England is going to have to pay for this game!!!

= (

Anyone know of anything we could do to make them lower the price? I'm sent an email to TB so he can speak about it in his Mailbox (If he chooses that email)

I tried it, but never liked the play style.

Meh- this dulls my expectations of GW 2, I understand som,e people don't want to pvp- but thats what Pve areas/servers are for. PvP- should mean PvP.

My friend claims that one of hes LoL buddies said he got 600 invites by signing up with mass email accounts? I think it is fake, but i don't really know about the technical possibility of being able to do it.

The dates on those emails, just the ones we can see, go back to the 14th, I didnt think they were sending out invites that early (and earlier if the other dates are earlier than that)
