That makes sense you got a phobia of talking to people, sorry to hear about that. You might be better off talking to people online, to try and get over it.
Join a vent chat, dont even speak for the first couple of times just listen in, and go from there.

I already do listen without a mic, that's how I PVPed in GW1.

I got a pretty strong somerset accent and people make fun when im shooting them in the face on CSS
