Some people are playing. I can see from their live TV. A lot of people saying they were working until they had to re-login.

lol! not had that one yet, I've had 3 different ones. Logged in once, got past char intro then blank screen and kick back to login screen...

It is funny that earlier in this thread people were mentioning disdainfully the Diablo III open weekend log-in issues... and now GW2 is having the exact same problems

We are aware that some of you have login issues. We are working on it. Closing and restarting your client often works. ^MK

Indeed, it's rather disapointing tbh.

The funny thing is the 'stress test' beta weekend went off without a hitch, straight in and playing all night no fuss.

The normal beta weekend and it's overloaded... :rolleyes:

They may know how many players to prepare for, but they may be unsure of the actual limits and abilities of their hardware with this many players. It's stress tests like these that allow the devs to see how their servers react under stress so they can adjust them as needed.

The only reason I complained about D3 was because it didn't HAVE to have log in issues, if it weren't online only...

It is pretty funny though. I think the servers themselves can handle the players, but the login server is basically getting ddos-ed.

Looking at several forums, I'm pretty sure that no one can log in at all. It doesnt look like they are overloaded, it looks like they are simply down.

Well I have been kicked out for a good hour, I know its a beta but would be nice to get a decent go at this. So far not impressed yet but thats only because i havent had much gameplay yet

I can get as far as the character screen and then it freezes. I was in for over an hour but I stupidly logged out without knowing I wouldn't be able to get back in.

Got in to character creation, then got to black screen. I'll try again tomorrow afternoon, work will be a calling at 4:30am.

Can't wait for the actual release day of this game, just to see if the chaos and whining beats that of SWTOR. That is the measure of a modern MMO.

It'll take some doing.

Its only been open officially 45 minutes. I haven't got in at all other than char creation screen. Consider yourself lucky.

Anyway, this is a beta!
