Guild Wars 2

They have GOT to do something about this partying and getting split up lark. Trying to convince the missus that MMOs are good and she is just sneering at it and saying its pathetic that we cant even play together. Its ridiculous that you can be partied up, zone and end up going to two different overflows and then it could be hours before you can manage to actually end up in the same place together again. A party should never be split into different overflows, its ridiculous that a game designed to play with people makes it intentionally so difficult to play with someone.

There is the Join In option of course, but it rarely seems to work, or quite often is entirely missing off the menu, other times its listed on the menu but clicking it does nothing at all. Bloody ruining our gaming experience not being able to play together.

We all aware it's a bug, this is only the second day of what has being a excellent launch, posting the same point over won't get it sorted any faster :D
 
Yeah I know..its just so frustrating..I'm going to lose her in regard to her interest in GW2, because she will rather we play something else where we can play together instead and even I , with all my MMO experience, am losing my patience with it. Been trying for almost 2 hours now just to actually get the missus on the same screen as me and just about out of patience now.

This is the kind of thing that has to be fixed ridiculously quickly. It sets a negative 'mood' for the weeks ahead and that can cause a lot of issues. Not something Anet will want.

Well stop playing the game? Come back in a weeks time when things have calmed down and bugs are fixed, or ya know, the obvious thing, change to a low pop server..

I think quite a few people will do that, stop playing the game for now I mean. I mean its not really rocket science, if a party is formed, then those members of that party should remain as one when zoning. Seems daft to me for a party to be playing together, then zone and end up in 4 different "instances", they should move as one to the same overflow. I'm sure they will remedy whatever the issue is but I've lost the urge myself to play until it is solved one way or the other as I cant play with my friends, which is in effect, the only reason I play multiplayer games (to play with my friends). Once its solved everything will be hunky dory though

i had the same issue when i was on whiteside ridge and that was a low populated server, ive since switch to desolation and its the same crack...

Yeah, honestly I don't see the problem with Overflow, I usually re-enter the Queue because I prefer to stay there, more players, but I play solo so I understand where you are coming from, but why don't you both just transfer to a low pop server? It's free for 7 days so do it now while it's free, then create another that you don't play with your girlfriend/wife on the server you are on now?

Changing to another server is a possibility, or would be, if the damage hadnt already been done. She has returned to wanting to play Diablo 3 and Titan Quest now instead as we can play together in those off the bat. Unfortunately for someone I was introducing to MMOs, its not gone down very well with her that its so awkward for us to meet up and you know how women are and first impressions :)

The big plus is that there is no monthly fee so we can come back to it whenever and its not cost us a few months subscription fees :)
 
The /age command seems bugged, as I've definitely not been playing for that long straight, just in total which I suppose is equally as bad!
 
I've tried registering on the immortals site but im not getting an activation email, tried getting it to resend but still nothing, can someone activate my account for me? :) Same username as on here

Hi Guild Wars 2 players, here is a list of the ongoing issues that are being worked on by our teams right now.

Our number one priority at present is to fix issues that are preventing players from accessing the game. Issues resulting in error code 7, error code 21, error code 58 and error code 1038, all have answers at the following link http://en.support.guildwars2.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8994.

Anyone experiencing issues with error code 42 should wait a few minutes and try to reconnect to the game servers, as this issue is known and related to connectivity.

Players experiencing error codes 9 or 45, please contact costumer support at your earliest convenience. http://en.support.guildwars2.com/app/ask/

We are also aware of some players receiving errors resulting in code 1032 that is related with world transfer operations. These transfers are working but experiencing some delays, please refrain from trying to transfer if you are currently able to play. We also have a team working on this issue as a priority.

Other issues that are being solved are those related with the trading post system, guild issues and party issues on overflow servers. All of them are being looked over by our teams and we will update you when there is new information about the status of the issues.
