Dont' compare to wow, the mechanics of combat are very different so although on the surface it might compare you may find that another class works out similar when you remove the effects etc.

Charr seem to be rare, although personally I can't stand the sylvani or humans, both look like emo-rejects with terrible hair!

Classes are fairly well covered, engineers I don't see much off though. There isn't an "in demand" class as far as I can tell, people just group up with whoever they want, most just jump into the action when they feel like it!

This annoys me greatly in MMOs, masses of people did this in swtor (and other games) and gained an advantage and never got permanently banned and now we're seeing it in GW2.

You cannot excuse yourself for doing something so obvious.

I wouldn't call selling the mats from karma items an exploit, it's the way the game is designed. Sure now they've mentioned it's not supposed to be that way then you can call it an exploit but beforehand it wasn't anything sinister.

There be others but Desolation is by far the busiest server, its great always meeting people at the strangest places.
 
Still no reply from them about my account. They sent me an email saying my e-mail is fine again and I had to change my password. I did that hours ago and It still says the e-mail address doesn't exist.

Ridiculous.

Also anyone getting any weird graphical glitches since the last update? I was in the charr area and occasionally if I looked a specific direction I'd get a graphical overlay covering the screen (but not the UI)
 
My thoughs of the game so far. Loving the dynamic events and going from zone to zone finding new things to do. I also like the heart quests where you get different options of how to complete the quest. Not really enjoying WvWvW, it just seems like a huge zerg rush; I think it would be better if people were more spread out so you could choose a target rather than hitting the nearest thing with a ranged attack and then them running back into their team zerg. Haven't tried sPVP yet though so maybe that will be more my thing. :)

Edit - Still says I'm in the guild however for some reason even though I'm on a different server, kick me if needed :)

Does this mean who ever is doing it has both my e-mail and password or just my password?

I have changed both now and the e-mails have stopped - all were from China.

Has Arenanet been hacked or anything?
 
For me to enjoy PvP i want 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5. The battlegrounds are badly designed and the WvWvW is just plain boring in my opinion.

Also, WvWvW runs awfully for me! :p

You mean back out and idle? Or back out and go full ranged? XP from events are rewarded with how much you contributed to the event. Though on some events i have turned up just near the end, did 1 or 2 hits and got a gold medal and full xp.

You can go ranged when ever you want, but going ranged because you cant see anything when the graphics practicals are going crazy is abit crap! There should be a option to turn down graphic particles, maybe they will add one in the future if its a common problem for being in melee.
 
Here's a protip for you I just discovered:

I'm level 9 and halfway through the Norn foothills starting area and only just realised: All those emails you get from completing tasks, the ones you get that allow you to buy/sell with them.....there's a little button at the bottom of each mail to 'take' the gold reward they gave you for completing the task!
 
Had another quick blast of this game today. Its growing on me.

One thing that annoys me, is you cant click on an enemy and your hero runs up to it and stats attacking, you have to run there your self and press one of your skill icons...
 
Is it illegal to issue a chargeback on gems I bought or does it just give arena net the right to ban my account? I'm not supporting this ****ing ******** or investing my time to get banned for their massive **** up.
What an absolute shambles arenanet are turning out to be.
