Does no one enjoy finding things out for themselves and adventuring these days? :(
 
No1newts - totally agree, you shouldn't need to be spoon fed every new element of a game. Heck that's what makes new games fun these days, we usually know everything about them which is rather dull.

Learning is fine but as we know they took the whole MMO gameplay and turned it on its head. I played the first two betas as I would any other MMO. I died a lot. After learning to keep moving around and dodge attacks I stay alive now. A quick tutorial would have been nice.

The HoM skins though you can purchase again for 0g so no need to transmute. The armour from the store though is a one time skin. I wish they just made it so like the HoM skins that once you have purchased you can use them as many times as you want.
 
Decided to stick it on my rig and hope for the best (3g dongle you see) and in 4 hours I have not had a single dissconect or any majorly noticable lag :eek: even got my first pvp game in and came second :D Couple of questions though;

What does it mean when it says I'm in an overflow area and do I want to re-que or join?
In pvp evey one is boosted to lvl 80 right? I am a warrior yet in the pvp I am kitted out with a gun and all gun related skills :confused:

The game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time. This is most commonly caused by a firewall or router settings, security applications, or connecting through a campus network.

Is this a common problem with servers being too busy or is something broke my end ?

An overflow area is when the main area has the max amount of people in it, therefore you are instanced to another overflow area until you become #1 in the queue for the 'real' area.

Dont understand what you're asking in the second question?

That's a common problem people are experiencing, probably not your end.
 
I have a friend who want's to join us in GW2 with just one problem - he can't find anywhere to buy it - Has tried Asda, Tesco's - game shops and online - is it officially sold out everywhere or does someone know a place he can buy it?

On the official site it is suspended and as a result I'm sure everywhere else ran dry pretty quickly. Latest updates that I have seen basically say further sales are on hold so that new subscribers don't slow down the existing servers and affect customers already playing. I think their server infrastructure isn't able to handle the demand (currently) but no doubt there will be plenty of leavers in the first few weeks.

I do not believe there is any news or ETA as to when it is unsuspended. I recomend adding your email to the main GW2 site for a notification when its back on!

I used to use one of those when my Virgin BB was knackered and went down often, it was surprisingly lag free for gaming :)

When you go into the mists it gives you a default template of weapons, gear and traits. You can reset your traits at any time for free by clicking the button at the top of the window and change your armour, weapons, runes you slot in them etc also for free. There are vendors to your right when you enter the mists, all with 0 cost.
