Guild Wars 2

Screw it. Just bought from GMG with the 20% off code. :D

The wife is going to kill me. Decided I'm not going to openly display that I have it, and won't really try it, until I've finished Prophecies and EotN in GW1. Currently on Ice Caves of Sorrow and the AI is so bloody useless, leading to party wipes after 3/4 of the mission almost every time. :(

Resistance is Futile :)

Ugh. Phoned the nectar place and they say "You might have your game some time next week. Unless we can't fulfill your order, for some reason."

Note to self: don't order from nectar place again.

I pre-ordered from them a couple of weeks before release, and my game fell through the door on release day. Like all retail outlets, they are beholden to their suppliers. If their suppliers can't reliably confirm how many items the shop will receive and the date on which they will receive them, they in turn cannot confirm anything to you.

Okley doke, I'm got a hunch that you can send them to offline people as I'm sure I've done it before, though that might have been by a character name rather than an account name, I dont recall

i know you can deffo add offline using account names, as thats what you did with myself.

I'm having a few problems.

I'm level 19 atm and I'm doing all the events but the main quest normally require a lot higher levels then I am on. I have done most of the events in the area without exploring other areas that require high levels.

Also, I'm going back to do events that I have already done and there is non :(

go to one of the other factions zones and start there. Portal to Lions Arch from within your home town and use the Asura gates to get to another capital

You can manange in other areas at a lower level. Group up with higher level folk in the dynamic events in that area and almost surely you'll get soime decent exp. Either that or go do some crafting, WvW or any manner of other things. You get exp for almost everything in this game!

Guys, does aggro depend on range rather than damage in this game? Went through a dungeon yesterday and I seemed to die a lot :(
I've been told even heavy armor classes aren't really tankers... so it would be the same as going with just ranged which is what we had...

I'm Scarlett btw.

Aggro is based on lots of things from what I can tell -

Damage, certain abilities, proximity, and the one that seems to make a huge difference is ressing - stopping to res someone in large scale events seems to virtually ensure you're targetted - obviously that's good AI from the mob's point of view but it can be quite nasty if you don't keep your finger on dodge while working a res.

And yes, there's no full 'tank' class in game - heavy armour guys with a toughness and vitality build can maybe take 3-4 hits instead of 1-2 in my (albeit limited) experience.

Thanks, I got the invite :)

Only thing is, I appear in the guild list but when I open up a chat tab to speak in guild - I get "You are not in a guild" :s

Have you clicked 'represent' at the bottom of the guild tab? You won't be able to use the guild channel until you do.

OH the amount of password reset emails you are gonna get now :'( There's Chinese GW2 hoovers going around this board and others you know.

A somewhat worrying suggestion with only two minor flaws -

1. The account name for login is the email address
2. The account name for login is the email address

:p :D
