I spent the afternoon/evening messing around with my ranger alt, and actually rather enjoying the playstyle. It reminds me of my full on huntard days, way back in ye olde vanilla WoW :D I need to invest some time with her methinks.

I then finished off with a relaxing hour or so listening to the raaaaaaage in WvW. :D

But I have deleted the GW2 folder, taken off the screen GPU usage.

So just realised Gunnars Hold is mixed between europe and americans. Rather lame this as that's why they are usually winning 24/7. I hope they implement it so only set timezones can play each other and only people from that timezone can use those servers.
 
Apparently, even if you have a EU copy of the game and play on 'alleged' EU servers you're still connecting to ANet's datacentre in Austin, Texas rather than the one in Frankfurt. Try it. In game, use the /ip command and then do a geotrace on the address it gives back. Quite a few people are having lag issues due to this.

I did it the other night, playing on Desolation (EU) and the server address it gave me was 206.127.146.51

Slightly off topic but how is ps2 shaping up? I got beta access but got stuck into this instead, doubt my system would run ps2 that well though so may end up waiting for an upgrade.

On topic I have been hit by altitis recently and jumping round a lot rather than levelling my Necro, bugger :p

I recommend picking up and holding onto one of every type of weapon you can use - staff, sceptre, dagger and focus - and unlocking every skill for each of the four elements and each weapon combo as soon as you can. Don't forget that daggers can be used in either hand.

I kind of am already heh. My highest is a Lvl 21 Warrior. But i also have a Lvl 11 Ele, 7 Mesmer and just started Theif last nite lol. I want to stick at one and actually get past 20 lol.

Why? If anything it makes the server better, not everyone works 9-5 and players in the US will have a minor disadvantage due to slightly increased lag. Nothing preventing it happening elsewhere too.
