Beta begins in autumn 2027.

Put a lot of hours into GW2 despite it never really clicking with me, it’s still one of the best available MMOs of recent times.

Hoping for a lot from 3.

Excited for this, I put thousands of hours into GW1 and thousands of hours into GW2. Its still the only MMO , in a genre on its knees, that I occasionally dip back into.

Will be interested to see how it pans out but don’t really have any interest partaking in the beta. Sounds like the full release will be in 2028, or later, so still quite a way to go.

This is probably the best way to describe my experience with gw2.
Played a fair amount, though never got 'far' each time. But loved the world, art and music, loved the way the weapons/skills worked but would always fall out of playing it.

I think I'm just not a massive mmo fan, and the amount of time I played gw2 is a testament to how much I liked it.

I think last time I was on I was grinding towards my first legendary.

I hope they don't make the same mistakes GW2 did - I enjoyed playing GW2 but enjoy dipping in and dipping out and for many years that meant I couldn't do content because it was 'seasonal' or was only there for a short period of time. Which rendered the whole game completely pointless as I love completing everything.

I'm a big MMO fan and love dipping my toes in a chunk of them.

GW1 was my first dip into MMO's and it was astonishing at the time to see all these other players running around in the same world. GW2 just never clicked and every time I've gone back it just feels like an overwhelming mess tbh so I never stick around for long.
GW3 looks like it might follow that path which will be unfortunate, but I'm definitely hoping to be proved wrong.

I loved the first guild wars and plied 1000's of hours into it and all the expansions. I just couldn't get on with the 2nd and no matter how many times I tried to come back, it just didn't click the same way the first one did. The art and world was stunning, but it just seemed to lack something the first had. Hoping the next installment manages to capture the magic from the first again.

I think MMOs in general are not my thing (WoW and GW2 are my main ones) as I never feel powerful. I level up, upgrade gear etc but so the enemies. It just takes the same amount of time to kill. I want to be overpowered and the hero which you can never be in a world full of everybody else who wants to be a hero.

Lost interest in levelling in GW2 because there were not enough skills to level for, i remember i got to some level and then there wasn't much new to gain after that

Spent way too many hours in GW2 since 1st day release. Will look forward to this, hopefully also lights a rocket up the arse of the genre which is stale to say the least.

So excited for this announcement, even if its ends up not being the greatest I'm just happy to see some activity from the West in the MMO-sphere for an already established IP. I played more than my fair share of the original trilogy (mostly Factions), but GW2 is a truly special game to me - I met my partner through it.

Will just be super to return to the franchise. GW2 evolved the genre (not to everyone's taste) and was a major pioneer to so many things we take to be a default today, hopefully they continue that and really introduce some new standards in GW3. Hope for a lot, but expecting very little!

It will be a huge hit regardless, people crave a new actually decent MMO and not some Korean P2W slop.

Seems only this and the Riot MMO (if it ever sees the light of day) on the horizon.

I thought the graphics actually looked worse !!
I fine with the graphics, then again, the best MMO that I play right now looks like this, so you can probably guess that graphics arent high on my requirements for an MMO list :D
