I know te new one is out soon, but im starting to loose interest a bit in wow, i used to play GW loads but only ever played warrior so think a new class to try might be fun, out of all proph, factions and night fall which is the most played nowadays.

thanks

Ritualists are the new toon of choice. Their spirit casting abilities means they can solo even the elite areas.

Got bored of the game after it got the point where no one would party with you unless you were using 55HP monk or barrager based classes.

Been playing it solidly for a couple of months now only just come off it to play aion for a bit. Completed prophecies and factions, done a fair bit of eotn too. Started nightfall but is boring from scratch so power levelled a warrior to 20 and joined it through the hub, only a mission or two into that and will probably return in january.

Currently have 3 level 20s atm, no special armour though not that dedicated to the grind!

Love gw great game and the only mmo iv ever got into. If your new make sure you switch to the american district as loads of players there...the eu district is pretty much left for the loners or french nowadays.
I think nightfall is the most populated from my travels, although lion arch is still a massive hub. Not many in prophecies really apart from pre searing for some reason.

ended up buying factions as its the only one i didnt play a lot of, currently have a level 8 ritualist, Im so used to being able to equip 50 skills at a time in WoW, its really hard knowing what to select with only 8 slots available!

I have to admit, I'm being a bit gimick at the moment, using an R/Rit, along with a hybrid spiritway/sabway hero setup, just working on vanquishing things.

Yes the game is pretty quiet in places at the moment, mostly because people are working on their own things and a lot of the time, its easier to do things solo than it is to deal with PuG's.

But, if you find people that you can work with, there's still a lot of fun to be had.

Managed to get my account to 50/50 which means free goodies/ titles in Guild Wars 2 :)

I stopped when this became the only reason to do anything, titles, all people want to do now is farm stuff for HoM.

Not fun.

I played GW for about 3 years and really enjoyed it, I still think it's a fantastic game and still has some of the best PvP going, however after EotN there was no reason to keep playing besides grinding. Yes I know all MMO's are based on grinding but generally that grinding takes you somewhere, usually the next tier of content or just better stuff, all GW rewards you with is a room full of crap and some titles.

I'm very much looking forward to GW2, hopefully they will structure it slightly better with proper end game content.

never played it myself but my girlfriend still absolutely loves it. shes just getting all the titles (i think there called) and getting the unlocks for GW 2. kinda want to try it myself but its a bit late to get involved i think especially with the new one coming out relatively soon.

I tried to get back into GW, but ended up running into so many little niggles which put me off, probably because I've been playing WoW so much. Things like being able to jump, and run down cliffs. So many times I see where I want to go but I have to go some annoying detour, often through more enemies. Yes, obviously the game was designed like this, but it feels so restricting compared with WoW.

LOL , you didn't play for very long did you? That's really old school. I loved my 55monk and barrager thou :D, not as much as I loved my 55 necro thou. Now he was pro.

Thats what they are doing with GW2. Opening it up. Jumping, swimming, climbing ect...

GW2 looks pretty good from the vids I'v seen. I will be buying it on day 1.

I've been burned FAR FAR too many times by buying MMOs on day 1. I will wait for some player reviews and a few weeks of release before I buy.
