Guild Wars wanting to download 12000+ files

this thread has inspired me to try GW - BUT if i buy prophecies and get to 20, assuming i still like it and then buy eg--nightfall .. wont the nightfall stuff be spoiled or am i then (in the minds of the devs) supposed to start a new guy off to do the new stuff with ?

also does anyone have any information about Guild Wars: Ultimate Edition Box Set??

There was a huge kick off about it and after a few hours they changed the solo farming nerf terms.

So basically rare crafting items and golds still drop for the solo farmer but whites/blues/crafting mats drop less, they say it was to stop the gold farming bots.

This was one of the last changes that has made me stop playing for now.
 
Mittens if you wanted to take your character over to another campaign its actually handled pretty well and you wouldnt miss much.
All that comes before lvl 20's join the story is basically a training island, after one character has been through that it becomes pretty tedious imo.

Plus you can always take your lvl 20 around the noob islands if you wanted to see the scenery. :)
 
Yeah, I started a new char when I got Nightfall but just because I wanted a Dervish... If it wasn't for that I would have just used one of my other characters.
Remember if you are going to buy Nightfall that the Collectors is available online from a competitor for around £17, brilliant price!
