It's postcount central. Do a Penny-Arcade and remove the postcounts and activity would plummet. Nobody reads threads, they just add a +1 to the end.

The other week there was a thread where a guy had quoted another poster that had said something obnoxious, but he didnt use Quote tags. It was followed by 4 pages of people slagging the OP off (quote nastily, actually), even though it was explained like 20 times it was a quote. Nobody reads past the first post, and you;re lucky i find if they read more than the title.

I know what you mean. I simply don't post in threads 10+ pages long etc until I've read everything. Guess a lot of people can't be bothered.

It would be better if for my sanity this thread was deleted and restarted, and anyone missing the point again permabanned for the good of the forum.
