Guitar Hero 3 for PC.

had a quick look on google and not been able to find the answer i'm looking for but my question is if i were to buy this and my friend brought his GH2 (xbox 360) wired controller over will work on my PC ?

also other way around, PC GH controller on a 360 ?

Yes and yes, the PC Guitar Hero 3 controller is exactly the same as the Guitar Hero II Xbox 360 controller. (it even has the guide button)

Is the PC Guitar wireless? If so can the receiver also be used to receive the 360 Controler?

The bundled controller in the PC bundle is wired.

GH Guitars are likethe 360 wires controllers, they work fine on Windows and Xbox. The only difference between the windows one and the xbox one is the packaging in which it comes.

As for the wireless, not a clue, although you can get a wireless adapter for the PC to use wireless 360 controllers in Windows, so this may work for wireless 360 Guitars too?
