Guitar Hero 3

There's a new metal pack up now with A7X, Thrice and Deftones, though only the A7X song looks decent.

\o/ Two songs left, Raining Blood (duh) and 3's and 7's, though i'm now only 30k short...
 
Ok this is all off an expert first-time play through of each song. Each song has a song rating (how good the song itself is), fun factor (how fun it is to play) and Difficulty (how challenging I found it on expert), and then my hit percentage first time through.

Deftones - Hole in the world
Song Rating - 8/10
Fun Factor - 6/10
Difficulty - 3/10
99% first time

Thrice - The Arsonist
Song Rating - 5/10
Fun Factor - 6/10
Difficulty - 4/10
99% first time

A7X - Almost Easy
Song Rating - 6/10
Fun Factor - 8/10
Difficulty - 7/10
96% first time

The pack is let down by the first two having no solo, so they're both fairly easy. Probably tier 3-ish difficulty. A7X, despite not being a great song is fun to play and quite challenging, probably fitting in amongst the second to last tier songs imo.
 
I'm not even downloading any packs now unless I know I like all three songs (classic rock pack) or they're free (Dropkick Murphys). Get a Van Halen pack up and i'd be over it like a fat kid to a cupcake.
 
Despite my inability to play many songs desperatly well I am dying to see some Judas Priest too :D Specifically:

Painkiller
Ram it Down
Metal Meltdown

Also I want some of the following:

Ash - Lose Control, Burn Baby Burn
Pantera - Cemetery Gates, War Nerve (actually played most of Cemetery Gates on a custom GH2 disc - only the solo was tough as hell on expert)
Iron Maiden - Rock in Rio would be fine with twin lead guitars for all multiplayer bits
Offspring - Kids Aren't All Right, Smash, Amazed, Bad Habit

Bah I'll stop there - it'll never happen :p

They gotta stop doing pop fluff to guitar songs though :(
 
I completed this on Medium at UE's LAN and haven't really touched it since.

Next stage is to finish 5 *ing all songs on easy and do the rest on Medium too. Then i will attempt Hard :p

I had one go at Slow Ride and got 70 odd % though before being boo'd off.
 
Hmm now theres an idea - thats how I passed Laid to Rest & Psychobilly Freakout on GH2....

As for me finally beat NotB on hard leaving 2 songs to go.

Mosh 1 is still killing me :( can get both star powers before it though so it's just a matter of time :)

Holiday in Cambodia intro on expert is insanity :o
 
dragonforce is just too much i think, just cant do the intro. Id say the next realistic goal is 5-starring expert career, but i can't see it myself.
 
Damn you people must be brilliant... I can't even complete Miss Murder on hard (and it's bugging the hell out of me because I don't even like that song!)

stopped hard for now & doing expert

Struggled on Aeropoop - awful song :(

Brick wall on Slash/Welcome to the Jungle - the former I simply don't know the song well enough & the latter I can't keep pace with the chord changes in the chorus :/
