I can't even beat Slash on Hard let alone the final Boss (I'm not even there yet, still trying to get through Tier 8), thank god it lets you wuss out of the Slash battle to continue. God knows how I'll manage it, I can't even play DWDTG very well on Medium!

Question about earning money to buy stuff in GH's.
I've been merrily replaying Medium on both Gh's trying to 5 star everything on medium and I'm slowly getting there. I thought at the leats I would be earning money for the unocks, guitars etc.
Yet my money doesnt seem to be going up much, is this because you only ghet money when you replay a song if you add another star?

Got about 6 or 7 songs on each one to 5 star medium. Hards beyond me so I will just be chuffed to finish off medium I guess it's going to be impossible to buy the stuff needed for the achievements. They made GH3's achievement list too hard. If your a medium player you have nothing left to aim for after 100 or so points and too many of the 1000 are for the very best players.
Hard is not beyond you at all. But it is HARD and requires effort. I'm on tier 8 which i could pass if i spent lots of time on it. Not played it much recently but when I do I go back and try to get 5 stars on the lower teir songs. 5* about 15 songs on hard I think, not really sure. I thought I'd never 5* all of medium, but with practice I did.
I've had a good go on hard and managed to finish the odd song by ignoring orange
Can I get more money for the shop by starting another band? Will that work?
Hard is psychological for some portion. Everyone i know moans about the orange button, where as i didn't give it a second thought. I just got on with it.
I have a mate who bought GH3 the same time as me, and he only plays on medium. He won't play on hard at all, even though he can 5 star every song on medium with ease, and beat me at pro face-off on medium.
I jumped right into hard the second i'd completed medium. It was later when i went back to medium to get 5 stars. Same with hard/expert. As soon as i hit a brick wall on hard (Lou) i moved up to expert. Now, i have completed GH2 on expert, and only have Lou to do on Expert on GH3.

Couldnt agree more, Ive 5* everything on Medium, and moving onto hard now yet I only have 135gamer points lol, the least of all my 10games Ive ever played on my 360.

The song has so many notes that if you save up three random powerups, then hit him with all of them quite soon before you know you're about to pick up another one, he's going down. I found lou easier than tom morello, because if you hit lou with three powerups he'll DEFINITELY fail because there's LOTS of notes in the song so his rock meter goes down super fast when you trip him up with powerups

Yeah thats the issue for me, the last 400 max should be for Hard and expert as they have said the majority of players are at medium standard. You also need to finish hard and expert to unlock all thats needed in the shop, so its a double whammy.
I dont mind the game being hard but it leaves you with little to play for because you dont get cash for re-playing songs.
I think thats why I prefer GH2 I have a little more to aim for. I also wish someone near me played this game because I'd love to do the co-op.

Makes sense and you'll find medium 5*ing a doddle after playing for a while on hard.
That's what I found, I did all the songs on medium ,though not 5* all of them, about 3/4 through hard and I have 5 starred loads more on medium.

Was exactly the same for on Hard, just getting by on red. However as you become more accustomed to moving your hand up and down the neck and actually hitting the right button which takes a bit of time, you start getting better scores.
I'm still struggling on the last tier on Hard but I know with practice I will finish it. Its a good thing I love all the songs on the last 2 tiers because constantly practicing crap songs becomes tiresome lol.
