best way is to save 3 powerups and then use them at once. If you can't get that far then just keep playing the song until you can do it. Are you failing because of the song difficulty or because of the powerups he's using on you?

I need help with the bits where you have to strum really fast (good example, muse)

How do you do this? Is there a nack to it?

Well I finally beat Raining Blood on Hard today so I could have a shot at Lou...

My god, I just can't do it; he gets me with his damn powerups every time. All the power ups I can get always appear while I'm trying desperately not to bomb out so I miss them. I beat Slash quite easily and I know the trick (wait until I get 3 to use at once) but this is too much.

Any other tips? I can't understand why they've put something this hard in. Poor.

Not really, I just find you have to keep trying different speeds until it clicks, most annoying part of the game imo. Still can't do Muses fast sections well enough my self.

Start playing on Expert.

I was upto tier 6 or 7 on expert (3 stars only) before i beat Lou on Hard, and then there was some luck involved.

Now i'm 5 staring many songs on expert, i can do Lou almost every time, unless he gets some nasty power ups.

I'm still to beat him on expert (only him left to finish career). If he gets double, it's instant death unless you're very lucky.

Ok I can do the fast struming (by battering the guitar) now I get nailes about 66% the way through the song on thos gay 3 note things

Well I have just completed my first song on Expert. Slow ride. 82% hit and 55 note streak. Not bad if I do say so myself.

Im also progressing through hard faily comfortably. Having a hard time with Aerosmith 'Same old song and Dance'. Looks like some practise is needed.

Went into Game on Sat and a kid was playing expert level and fast. He was obviously using all 5 frets and strumming like a devil. Little git was hitting all the notes. I couldn't believe it and for the first time in a long while I was actually jealous, I can only dream of having reactions that fast. 10 years ago it would have been different.

Makes notes have a smaller timing window, so you have to be very very accurate.

Bah, just got destroyed by Slash in expert mode. The song seems harder than it looks, though I only had 2 quick goes before giving up. He better not take as long as Lou on Hard to get past, I don't think I have that much patience any more!

You get the first attack, if you use that when he's about to get his, you pretty much take control.

Ah, I was still in the Lou mentality of trying to save up my attacks to hit him with 3 at once. I take it I just hit him with attacks as he's about to get his and just wear him down?
