Guitar Hero 5

Does anyone have any tips for moving from 3 buttons to 4 ? It's stupidly easy with 3, but for some reason I'm really struggling with the blue button. If i master that, I balls up the green !

Someone help me before the missus figures it out first !

that depends what your having problems with, if your little finger gets tired try 3 buttons without using your index finger. if thats not the problem then just practice i'm afraid

Tried both approaches but not getting anywhere. Like you say, suspect it's just practice.

Am i being extremely thick or something here? I can't seem to change from the microphone. I want to shred guitar and i prefer doing it on the standard 360 controller like i could in guitar hero 3 yet i seem to be going round in circles trying to change it. Anyone got any ideas?

I've just notcied a little note in the instruction manual saying i can't do it at all. That sucks balls, i don't have the guitar controller.

I'm not a wizard with this game like some people are, however I like to play on hard because I think medium gets boring very quickly. What I've found is that the most important thing is keeping in mind where your index finger is.

Depending on the song, I use my index finger to cover green and red, so that my little finger moves up from blue to gold when the song needs it. So each finger keeps a dedicated key, but my hand only moves from green to red.

I suppose it would work if you're struggling with your little finger. Try getting use to moving your hand so your ring finger takes control over the blue key (so your index moves to red)

...wow that was hard to explain and probably doesn't make sense :p

OK just got GH5 and after about 5 songs I've noticed a really annoying problem. The scroll sometimes freezes, its just for a micro-second but it knocks me way off.

It happens occasionally when it kicks into power mode (when everything goes blue,) or when I'm just a tiny fraction too late on a note. The screen scrolling kinda freezes. Its not the normal shaky screen that happens when you mess up, it literally stops the fretboard for a tiny moment.

Its really annoying and knocks my rhythm completely out. I didn't have this problem with World Tour and was wondering if anything else has noticed this?

I'm using the Wii version btw.

i've seen a couple of strange glitches on the wii. Sometimes it seems like it's 'resyncing' but only noticed when i'm on multiplayer.

Also, in the one with freebird, is it legends of rock? there seems to be some weird kind of glitching going on there. Like it's running a 60Hz game at 50Hz or something. WT is well smooth for me. My copy of GH5 is NTSC, though,
and I play all my wii games on a pal wii with a component cable at 480p

No it doesnt, however it does have full band support apparently. Their was supposedly a new guitar skin but apparently the UK isnt getting it.

The new guitar is available in the UK I think - and its not just a new skin, they made some changes to the mechanics of the guitar, like the strumbar and the touchstrip.
