I've had much enjoyment outta all the GH games and indeed RB.

I dont have a favourite i own em all i enjoy em all. Why the hell restrict yourself to just one side of the other ?!?! :confused:

I relise that GH:WT isnt out yet but the thread was meant to be about the game not if its, better, worse or same as RB2 which again isnt out.

Also all the GH V RB please leave it to another thread :)

I think as stated before just own both !

I personally cant wait for GH:WT i always get hyped over a new guitar strumming madness game :) and RB2 to follow shortly hopefully.
 
I am considering buying just the guitar pack now tbh, I like the look of the new guitar.

Then just buy the drum kit on its own at a later date, I dont really care for the free bass guitar. I have 3 guitars as it is let alone having another 2 :eek:
 
tbh i think that the DLC isnt that bad. It still a new realm for guitar hero with regards to the rest of the band stuff.

I personally cant wait. I've booked the 7th off to have a whole day to thrash through it on medium to unlock all the songs then weekend have house party.

Beer + guitar hero = f.t.w :D

I swear if it slips from the 7th release date i wont be happy :(
In the end i cancelled my band in a box pre-order. Im just gunna go into the city to get the game on the day. I can always get the drums at a later date if i really want them. My RB drums still work fine so i can always use them in the mean time :D
 
1 week till release now :) (hopefully)

Cant wait. I always get excited when a new guitar games comes out ;) I was so hyped when rock band came out on the xbox is was unreal. I was up and out the house i had to sit outside hmv and wait for the shop to open lol (sad i know but meh)

Its a shame they didnt do a demo for this like they did for Guitar Hero 3
 
Right I managed to borrow a copy of this off a friend.

I have to say I am impressed I'm really enjoying it. I dont understand why some reviews moaned about the quality of GH tunes (make your own song thingy) I think the sound quality is fine. Also lots of people are cracking up their tunes. So theres lots to download, best of all its free ! I highly recommend the ElectroChocobo tune AMAZING !!!! O_O

I'm really enjoying this atm. I think the timings are a bit loose. But its not that bad tbh.

Looking forward to getting my own copy on friday. :D
 
yea he got it early but then he ordered an american version.

So, still works fine on the UK consoles as its region free (i must say i had no idea of this until i was told on these forums - which was why i bought it)

Cant wait to get home and jam to some more tracks
 
imo the hardest GH was the first one.

That one was extremely hard. Good old PS2 :p

But yea I agree easiest one yet. I played through the whole of the Band tour with my brother. Aced every song not one was remotely challanging tbh. I think the hardest was...... nope sorry i really cant think of a hard song hehe :p

Time to knock it up to expert i guess

Yea i know what you mean the last couple tiers do get a bit harder but still.

Also Pull me Under - Dream Theatre wasnt exactly my idea of a last big finale song. Its good dont get me wrong but.... well its no dragonforce is it :p

the game has a a in game studio thing (i forget the game mode) but you can basically make your own music and then share it on GH tunes. I really love this mode cuz its free to use free to share and free to download.

Cracking idea imo

tbh i think its more a case of what he/record label would let GH use.

I dunno just a thought i havnt the slightest idea just a guess.
I have to say though im not as pulled to play this one as i was GH3. I dunno what it is.

Well i do now my xbox is dead. but even b4 it died i still just ended up playing RB or GH3 still. I just think theres no song there really that makes me want to play it over and over again. Except Never too Late - The Answer I loved that tune.
 
Its wierd isnt it though cuz as simo said theres quite a few good well know songs but just dont play well.
I will use eye of the tiger as an example big well known song. MY GOD how boring is it to play on guitar theres nothing to it at all.

Its just missing that something i dont know what it is but its missing it. imo i think guitar hero should have just stuck to the guitar sod the whole band idea. they should have stuck with just the guitar and impressive guitar orientated songs.

I have this gut feeling that the songs they picked was to try cater for all areas of the band ie singing + drums. Rather than what guitar hero is good at insane stupidly hard GUITAR SOLOS
