Im sure most of you know about it and would love to take part in such an adventure, £25k to enter... If I had the money I'd certainly do it. Would you?

http://www.gumball3000.com/TOUR

What car would you take?

Do you think its a waste of money if you're not a high flyer?

Nothing is a waste of money if you enjoy it, i just cant imagine why any ****er would want to do that drive.

What the heck do you get for your 25k?

Permission to drive the same route as everyone else?

EDIT: Oh I see, accommodation, food and events in all the stops eh. That makes it a little more understandable.

the driving is probably the most boring part, its all about the parties :p

see, thats what would worry me. for £25k id expect a blinding party, id expect to be left as a smoking wreckage of a human being and id definately not want to be in a state where i could drive :p

Sod that have 2 blinding holidays with the money instead.

parties, not party! surely the driving is just to get to the next place to party :p

we looked into this a couple of years back, its not as simple as just paying 25k they vet your proposal and car choice, they let a few wacky ones through (smarts etc..) but after that its super cars only - I'll apply again to see if its changed because the hedge fund we entered with last time is still keen

Its a pity they lean towards super cars now, in the original cannonball run (the race that the gumball is taken after) the were all sorts of wacky entries lol

I would defenatly do it if i had the money. However it would have to be over in america !

I was a big fan of Cops Cars and superstars ( IDK if anyone remembers it ). Driving a Ferrari or Lamborghini through the desert with massive roads and the roof down is a dream of mine :D.

Strange, I thought it was named after the Gumball Rally film which came out 4 or 5yrs before The Cannonball Run. Better cars and film too imho, plus Gary Busey ;)

I know a number of lads that do this, not my cuppa really and these events are now becoming impossible to run as the police in Europe look to tread on them with great force at any opportunity. People hooning in groups are the new Nazi war criminal. Mind you, Mark, Will, TomO and Housey in an OCUK Modeo, I see WIN all over it....honest, we could perhaps go with a V6 one as I hear they are quicker than a Focus ST?

I could find 5k to chuck in!

I suppose given the marque the fuel costs wouldn't be too high either

time off work though, tricky, maybe I'll remain a silent partner :(

Iv got 5k for that as long as i dont have to drive or we are all ****ed!

Someone here posted a video with, I think an M5, him blasting down the motorways with a fake siren at about 150mph~ for quite sometime.

Great video, I think he may have been caught and charged though?
