Trump rally shooting: Ex-president injured in assassination attempt at rally that leaves spectator and gunman dead

The former president ducked to the floor as shots rang out and was mobbed by Secret Service agents, while the sniper, who was killed by security forces, has been named as Thomas Matthew Crooks.

Trump appeared to fall to the ground as he was giving a speech. He was quickly surrounded by armed security and stayed down for around a minute.


He then rose to his feet and put his fist in the air, before being escorted off stage into a vehicle, and then driven away.

Just watched it crazy man. Hope hes ok, Just popped over to Sky they are reporting it as shots fired, Thought Id look at CNN, Have a guess, President Trump falls over at Rally, No mention of shots. Jeez

He seems to be and I hope he is fine!! Thankfully it seems they've only hit his ear, could have been so much worse.

Just utterly mental, this is escalating to just unthinkable levels.
 
I've not yet watched the footage but are we sure they "hit his hear" with a grazing shot?

Could the blood came come from the whole "drop the ground, get bundled on in a panic"?

I would imagine the odds of the round just grazing his ear AND then not hitting a single person sat behind him seems... unlikely?
