One is fairly desirable to avid motorheads, while one isn't.
One is a far more exciting drive, one is a cheap refined banger and just another mondeo.

I think the comment was designed to get people to bite, not to be serious..i hope!

I take it you are not familier with the ST200? There are probably less of them than there are Accord Type-R's. It was a very good car and certainly not 'just another Mondeo'. It is a great drive.

I see the Mondeo as a sporty tourer with it's comfy leather and silky V6 where the ATR is a bit more in your face and a lot more brash.

Yes i've driven both, i found the st200 to be an old refined mondeo with no sense of real speed with one of the crappest standard bodykits ever?

I found the ATR to be a really fun and exciting drive which doesn't really have any rivals as an allround great car? just wish they had cruise control. I've seen posts in the past where you tend to tie them in with CTR's when i'm not sure this is really the case as they're less manic, much better seats and a much nicer engine tone etc etc.

Obviously i can only give my own personal opinion.

The ST200 isn't particularly refined and lacks many of the features of the luxury focused Mondeos (Which is part of the reason I rejected them in the end). It's certainly no more refined than an Accord (I have driven non Type-R Accords. I have to wonder if you've actually driven the ST200 and not just.. a Mondeo.

I found ATR's to be a much more exciting drive than CTR's myself with various nice touches, massively better seats + much nicer engine sound etc.

I wonder how your claim that the Accord Type-R is a more exciting than drive than the Civic will go down with the Honda fanboys?

Ah, I see you've edited your post and completley changed your opinion in the space of 10 seconds. Useful.

I urge people reading the thread to disregard the opinion of somebody who cannot even make his own mind up :p

lol. what happened was i changed a word or two and then realised it made no sense at all, so i then changed the whole paragraph so it did make sense.

I made about 4 changes, not 2! Football managers fault :p

My thoughts are exactly how it reads now.

Its NOT a more exciting drive but i personally find it to be a nicer "mix" all-round than the CTR.

Jeez

arguing over the internet, special olympics.

(and yes i did put CRT accidentaly instead of CTR but i'm under extreme pressure being 5th in the league and desperately needing a champs league spot with 3 games to go!!! :o )

Well the Accord is better than the Civic, if by civic you mean the EP3.

Most will agree with this if they know what they are on about.

I wasn't suggesting the Mondeo was a credible car for MrLOL, it isnt, the ST220 is. Just pointing out how much paying £5-6k for an Accord Type-R would suck, thats all.

oh lord

just when i thought id found something.

Previous owner comes on and shares with us that its crap. I was genuinely considering one. what are your thoughts ?

I just thought that comparing an ATR to an st200 is a complete insult to the ATR, deliberately so to get a reaction too.
